This is edition 33 (!) of the long running perfumista threads.

Newbies most definitely welcome. Come and discuss your Scent Of The Day (SOTD), old favourites, new infatuations, the best dupes and scents of any price point. We are very friendly! 😊

I've ordered the Vanilla box, although with the postal strike and the bank holiday weekend (which I'm so proud to have remembered this time!) it may be a little wait for it to come.

SOTD was also Miss Dior Originale. I'm trying to get my wears in while it's still warm enough for chilly green loveliness. Can't believe it's September next week.

SOTN is Ambre Orient.

I’ve got Into the Stars too (the body lotion), Warm Vanilla Sugar body cream and spray, the Sunshine Mimosa body cream (don’t really like this one though) and the Dahlia shower gel, body lotion and spray. I went a bit overboard on the 3 for 2 😆

SOTD is Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia

I'm still trying to decide whether to buy this or the Van Cleef & Arpels Bois d'amande. There was a nice bitter note in the Van Cleef that I really liked but this is cheaper. The 20% discount on Escentual is not helping the decision making process.

I really liked the Acqua di Parma one @chilliesandspices, but it is very hard to choose. I already busted my credit from the almond box on something else a couple of weeks ago though. Determined to save the credit for the vanilla box until after the reveal so I don’t have this problem again next month!

SOTD rouge smoking. Medicinal cherry notes (like cherry tunes), with a creaminess to it. I get a very synthetic cherry from this. There is some kind of an incense note also. In all, not a fan.

I'm having a bit of a day so sote is kayali vanilla and ice got moscato chilling in the fridge.

I shall re watch s4 of stranger things and try and become more zen.

DH told me I smell delicious so I was sold and have bought the Acqua di Parma. Luckily I had two months of credit leftover. I'm deliberately ignoring his later compliment which was "seriously, you smell like a milky bar" 🤣

SOTN is Mitsouko, for what feels like the first chilly evening in absolutely ages. Autumn is on its way! 🍂

Oh I want to smell mitsouko. I've heard it mentioned a few times on the On The Scent podcast.

Mitsouko, to me, is quite simply the most exquisite scent ever. I hope you get to try it @chilliesandspices.

SOTD is House of Oud Almond Harmony. It's lovely but not £198 of lovely so I'm just using the sample up.

Oh, I keep saying that too...

I've ordered the vanilla box, will be ordering the spice box, have got 3 x lots of whipped soap on the way plus a bottle of e coudray ambre et vanille 😬🤣

I've also realised I have 2 x fbs of 4160tuesdays CbyC! Good job I love it 😀

But...yeah...I really should use what I have 😬

Sotd is my sample of Ella K Rose de Pushkar that I got from Jovoy. It's absolutely gorgeous but very similar to Rosa from Santa Maria Novella which I already own (and is one of my favourites). It's a beautiful heady incense rose. Just gorgeous. The SM Novella one is a bit cheaper though (though they are both pricey!) so I will be sticking with that.

SOTD Armarni She. This has been sitting on my bathroom shelf since a patient gifted it to me in 2014. Smells pleasant but I’m not sure if it’s one I’ll reach for very often.

I really must go through my sample box.
I bet there are some corkers in there that I've forgotten about.
