I love your top @WhatsThisThingCalledMotherhood . Beautiful outfits @WestrayWife and @toucaninjapan . You both look very put together. Love your harem pants @Purplecatshopaholic . Yesterday dress country casuals. I wear my clothes in rotation. If there's anything i am avoiding wearing I need to think carefully why I am keeping it. Saying that there's clothes I have kept for years that either I or dd have started wearing.

Another end of summer look from
me today. I actually did a bit of shopping online yesterday for new shape jeans and a suede jacket . It was payday for DH!

@Sooverthemill I love that idea with cost per wear, it's actually an eye-opener as I have never seen purchasing clothes from that perspective.

@Greyhairwarmheart that’s a great way to review clothes on a regular basis and assess items you’re not wearing. That dress really suits you!
@Sooverthemill good idea to look at things as cost-per-wear, definitely makes “investing” in pricier items worth it if it’s going to be with loads of times. Love the waistcoat!

Great combination today @WhatsThisThingCalledMotherhood.

It’s taken me years to be comfortable with getting rid of clothes - even those I don’t wear much. Sometimes I remove something I’m unsure about from my wardrobe for 6-12m and see if I miss it before taking the plunge and getting rid of it. Especially if it’s something I’ve worn a lot, and then gone off. I often go back to those things after a break.

No photo from me today - at least not yet. It rained so heavily overnight that everything is flooded. Including our room. Good job I’m quite tidy - the only things on our floor overnight were 2 pairs of sandals! We found a (live) crab outside our (internal) door this morning, which was somewhat surprising!

I'm sorry for my absence. Haven't been anywhere. Just up to my neck and not feeling like posting. So I've missed commenting on so many lovely outfits.
Today it's ancient Boden trousers which after all these years I still can't make my mind up about. I feel they're rather shapeless but I like the fabric design! And an old jigsaw sweatshirt.

Hi all just catching up after a few days away, some great outfits as always! @faffadoodledo love those Boden trousers and another pair of trousers that are 😍 are @Purplecatshopaholic 's Anthropologie harem pants - fabulous! @Sooverthemill your blue shirt from a couple of days ago is such a gorgeous colour. @Sickoffamilydrama I've really enjoyed seeing your holiday wardrobe, loads of lovely floaty dresses which look great dressed up or down and I can imagine could be washed pretty quickly and easily as well if you did want to wear a few times whilst away.

I've got a couple of days off before returning to a madly busy couple of weeks coming up at work on Monday so making the most of a good old potter around the house and garden.

I watched a YouTube video the other day about how to choose what to wear and she talked about thinking about how you want to feel and picking an item which will achieve that. I hadn't really thought about it like that before, and it's been quite interesting trying it.

@WestrayWife I've always swerved Lucy and Yak because of the perceived baggyness. But you've belted yours? Or is it a style that is more shaped? In either case I may need to rethink!

Oooo name change fail!

We’re coming to the end of our holiday. Flight back is on Sunday. I actually think I could’ve managed with fewer pairs of shorts, although I got the number of t-shirts/tops about right and I’m glad I brought 3 pairs of sandals.

@bedbugnightmare this is the Juni style - I have them in black and demin - they have an elasticated/gathered waist which I find much more flattering than the more standard dungarees that they do. I also like that they fasten with proper buttons rather than straps! If you click on jumpsuits on their website you'll find them.

@PalacePaper oh I love that concept! Clothing may really change the way you feel sometimes, doesn't it. At least it certainly does for me! That's so easy to justify buying something when you know you are going to be all smiles/ feeling extra confident etc. when you are wearing it!
I believe Chanel once said: “Dress like you are going to meet your worst enemy today. “ I love this saying a lot!
I ended up googling other Chanel quotes and apparently she also said "If you're sad, add more lipstick and attack." Love this one too.

I’m wearing a top I bought 4-5 years ago today. Since January I’ve decluttered my wardrobe at least 3 times and said goodbye to so many pieces that looked not age-appropriate anymore/ too worn out/ I never reached out for them etc. I have no idea how this top has survived these 3 times!
I believe I bought it because I loved the folk vibe, but look at it, this cool shade of red doesn’t suit me and it’s overall shape doesn’t flatter my body. Voluminous sleeves are supposed to make your arms look thinner, but somehow this top manages to make me look bigger than I am. Maybe if I was pairing it with tight trousers it’d look better, but it’s a very thin summer top and I’m not wearing jeans in summer unless you pay me. A lot!
Well, I guess I will say goodbye to this top tonight.

I didn’t realise mutherhood did dresses. They are all beautiful.

I have ordered some jeans. Ordered one size too big. Ordered the size down and they came in the wrong leg length. Very have a good deal on Levi 501 if anyone is looking, as do Brand Alley 😀
