It's another lovely day - we are being spoilt with the weather this BH.
I'm wearing denim shorts that are at least 7 years old, top from Asos and one of my eldest DS's waistcoats. Lounging around in the garden and not doing much else.

Back to WFH today

Typical dull Bank Holiday here. Had a rubbish weekend with DD and me not really feeling great, wonder if we’ve picked up a virus?

@toucaninjapan in did buy a shirt yesterday from Sézane but nothing from the new launch, a couple of bits of knitwear caught my eye but I’m going to have a think. The shirt I bought I’ve been contemplating for a couple of months. Photo below

I went a bit crazy and bought a lot (facepalming at myself here). FOMO effect is not to be underestimated.😵
I've bought 2 of my top picks (bracelet and cardigan), and then in the morning I saw that raspberry Gaia belt that I wanted had just one size left and I sort of rushed up, put it in the basket, then I figured out I need to add something else to get the free delivery...😩
So I guess I am entering a no-buy period from now on!😓
It was interesting to see at Sezane groups yesterday what everybody's buying. Trudy was surprisingly (to me) popular! New green Will too, it's almost all sold out.

one of the advantages of being on holiday is that I’m not actually tempted to spend money on clothes at the moment! Although I suspect it might be a different story when I get back to the U.K. and start contemplating autumn.

Well done @WestrayWife. I have just started running again, I had covid twice this year and haven't run since. To say I am finding it hard is an understatement- I can't believe how much fitness I have lost despite being so active. I walk the dog for at least two hours a day and sea swim most days but my legs feel like heavy weights when running and I just can't keep my breath!

I'm pledging not to buy new now for the forseeable. I'm concerned about rising COL, Christmas is on the way and two of my kids have birthdays in December. We also need a new boiler so getting that fitted in the next few weeks. I have ordered an oversized wool coat from Vinted - £10, coats and boots have always been my weakness. I also love a bobble hat!

I will need some new jeans for winter that aren’t skinnies. Want to wear with Grenson and Dr Martens!

Any suggestions appreciated!

@EllaPaella we have just decided to get our boiler replaced too which is the kind of thing I resent spending money on but an essential as ours is 17 years old and we are the only people with the original boiler still in our development. Our neighbours spent three weeks with no heat last winter and we can’t risk it.
am also selling so much of my wardrobe at the moment it feels like a win win for me and we are yet again thinking of moving to a home
more suitable for DD and our decrepitude

I'm hoping a new boiler will be more cost effective in the long run @Sooverthemill- ours is at least 16 years old now and has been showing signs of going on the blink for a while now. Moving house sounds like a big change, would you stay in the same area?

@EllaPaella possibly if we can find something we can afford that works. Plan B has always been to move to France. We almost did it 11 years ago then I got cancer...

Yesterday we went to the beach so outfit easy to put on over swimming costume. Top white stuff, trousers poetry. I'm training for a run- had no idea it would be so time consuming. Nearly race day now though.

Eldest DD and I drove to Limassol toady my goodness has it changed which isn't surprising since I last went there about 17/18 years ago.

Here is a selection of what I've been wearing definitely leaning more towards floaty dresses, I find them cooler than shorts or a skirt.
