I enjoyed those summer royals photos, thanks.

The Spanish princesses always look immaculate imo, and very stylish.

Charlotte Casiraghi has been at a few events these last few days. I really don't like the very overtly branded Chanel stuff she wears. I know she's one of their brand ambassadors but to me it looks so tacky, beautiful though she is. It also clashes with my perception of Chanel as a classic, classy brand.

You need to zoom in on the red dress to see that Chanel is printed all over the fabric.

Maireas · 04/07/2022 19:08

I agree, it does look very tacky. I've always coveted Chanel because it always seemed so chic. Not this!

More evidence of the Spanish princesses' stylishness. Infanta Sofia is so tall!

They look gorgeous! They're getting tall like their dad. I used to think they looked like twins, but they look very different now.

They do look more distinctive as they've got older. To me, Leonor is more Leti and Sofia more like her namesake grandmother when she was younger.

There are some photos of Queen Sofia as a young woman here (scroll down to the early ones):

Yes, she really does look like her namesake!

She's actually a dead ringer for Sofia's sister Irene.

Wow! She really is!

Nice tiara 👸

Eaumyword · 04/07/2022 21:45

Charlotte C really is beautiful I think.
I love that photo of Leti and family - it just looks so glamorous, like a Vogue cover.

MotherofPearl · 04/07/2022 21:51

Oh the resemblance is amazing between Sofia the younger and her aunt.

MotherofPearl · 04/07/2022 21:51

Great aunt, even. Confused

Pic taken by Catherine of DC for the front page of Country Life which she is editing this month - marking her 75th birthday and 125 year anniversary of the magazine.

Kate and William at Wimbledon. Her dress is ok, really dislike her shoes (again)

William looking good in light jacket and dark trousers.

KillingMeDeftly · 05/07/2022 15:47

She's worn that dress before, I think for one of the jubilee events with the public. It's a bit too 80s for me. The shoes are fun and a bit of a departure for her, though maybe not necessarily with that dress.

Maireas · 05/07/2022 16:27

What a lovely picture of Cams.
She requested that Kate take the picture.

Kate REALLY likes the Alessandra Rich 80s vibe, doesn’t she. Such a departure from her usual safe and bland choices. Given she was born in the 1980s I can forgive her for leaning into the 80s revival, as she wouldn’t have worn these dresses the first time around. (I remember borrowing dresses from my Mum’s wardrobe as a teenager at the peak of 80s fashion, and I wouldn’t go back 😂 ).

GrouchyKiwi · 05/07/2022 17:22

That picture of Camz is lovely.

I do NOT like Kate's dress.

Maireas · 05/07/2022 17:27

I don't like Kate's dress, either. It's maddening, she's got lovely dresses that she could re-wear, in fact I'd like to see that a bit more. At least four from previous Wimbledons.

dolphinsarentcommon · 05/07/2022 17:44

I know she's got to work within the constraints of being 'Royal' and 'Appropriate' but tbh I think she's verging on 'prim'.

Id really like to see her shake it up just a little

Maireas · 05/07/2022 17:58

I agree, @dolphinsarentcommon - it's just a bit too dull. She has some really lovely pieces, no need for yet another boring spotty day dress.
Her hair looks fab, though!

Yes, there was the yellow dress from 2018 and the white dress with black polka dots the year before.

Maireas · 05/07/2022 18:17

I agree, Deftly. Either of these would be great.
