Does anyone else think that photo looks like the parent's Sports Day race (special place in hell reserved for that anyway) - you've got a token dad, glam older mum, glam younger mum, mum with breastfeeding baby and a dentist who dashed straight from work...

Charlene has attended water safety day(!) and looks good in red, and Max has been to the ballet in immense earrings.

Why do you think the Max photos were taken in an underground car park?

I do wish she'd get a better hairdresser, she's a stunning woman, but her hair looks like she's just got out of the shower and combed it through.

I actually think that Max’s hair not being perfect is what makes everything work for her - if it was perfectly coiffed every time it would just look too over the top with all her ostentatious clothes and especially the jewellery. Her relaxed approach to her hair means that instead of coming across like a painting (can’t think of another way to describe it), she still looks entirely herself - human, and happy and relatable. My take on it, anyway! Not very well articulated 🙄 as I’ve only had a sip of coffee!

I like natural hair, @NiqueNique, but this just doesn't look good, imo. A casual blow dry would look great.

@Maireas I hadn’t actually looked at the photo when I wrote that! You’re right...looks like she’s got out of the pool, run her hands through her hair, thought, OH SHIT I’M DUE AT THE BALLET IN AN HOUR!! Threw on a dress, found some shoes and a huge pair of earrings, forgot about her hair.

I like that Maxima's hair isn't perfect - it makes her more relatable! God knows we'd all like to be blessed with tresses like Kate but it's good to know that even royalty with hairdressers at their disposal can have a bad hair day!!

That's what I like about Max, she's not preened to perfection, she enjoys fashion and goes for it. Sometimes bits don't work, but she usually looks great.

See, from the front I can see what Max was aiming for - it's swept back and chic. But in the photos from behind, it just looks a bit sad and ratty. And that makes the whole outfit look unfinished. A clip or an ornament of some kind would have distracted from the limp hair 😕

Maxima needs a big chop, some olaplex or some extensions. Or all three? I guess she's naturally dark & all those years of highlights have ruined her hair.

Yes. I remember someone said a while back that they wished Kate would get a really modern and chic short cut. I don't think she ever will, but Maxima would definitely carry off a pixie or a short Bob with pizzazz!

Speaking of Kate, we're bound to see her at the tennis this week.

Oh to be able to work as hard as the royals during the summer. After Wimbledon I doubt we'll see Kate again until September!

@Eaumyword - my mum loved Sasha and would play that single "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" as she went about the housework.
