I love the white trouser suit! Cam should wear more like that.

Maireas · 26/06/2022 10:26

It's gorgeous, I love the fluted sleeves.

Wow to Camilla in white dress ,her hair with that little flick is just perfect. Sort of picks up the fluted sleeves IYSWIM.

Subjective I know but I think that the floral day dress looks matronly .Seeing the same person in that white outfit I feel there is no comparison.

I agree.
I love the white outfit and think the flowery dress is quite matronly.

Is the blue of the dress a Windsor blue ?
What "season" would Camilla be ?

Eaumyword · 26/06/2022 13:47

I also love all 3 of Cam's looks there. she looks particularly good in the fluted sleeve white trouser suit. Lovely.
Is it Carrie Johnson with her in the yellow? I do like her style and love that yellow dress.

KillingMeDeftly · 26/06/2022 14:55

Camilla is in her 70s so I can forgive a little matronly dressing!

SenecaFallsRedux · 26/06/2022 14:57

We women of a certain age have to be very careful with the florals, which is a challenge as they are all over the place these days.

Yes, I think we can give her a pass!

The sooner the floral dress fashion - especially the long-sleeved flouncy ones - the better, imo. I think it's time for some tailoring and simplicity.

100problems · 26/06/2022 16:40

Carrie always looks great for someone that has to accessorise with a walking crime against fashion.

Camilla looks spot on in all three outfits, but especially the third.

She is certainly getting to meet the powerful great and good in the world, by his side.
If I was Marina I'd be p
ssed off putting up with so much and then missing out on some exciting stuff.

I'd have ended that sentence a full stop after crime. Grin

If I was Marina I'd be thinking good riddance to an odious man! Hopefully she got a decent settlement and is now enjoying it.

Albert and the twins, sans Charlene, in Norway. I love those matching sweaters!
I like the fact that Albert takes the twins with him on a lot of occasions.

KillingMeDeftly · 27/06/2022 07:02

Albert does seem to be an involved dad, which is nice to see.

Incidentally I was at a gig over the weekend and got chatting to a couple from Tromsø. The subject of the royals came up and they said the monarchy is very popular in Norway. Apparently there were some doubts at first whether King Harald would measure up to his father (who was much-beloved by his subjects) but he's more than proved himself. They also said HH and MM are popular, as is Ingrid, and that ML has provided much entertainment lately with her engagement to the Shaman!

Maireas · 27/06/2022 07:04

Interesting! I'm glad they're popular and Harald has measured up!

Ah, I love the matching jumpers! He does seem to adore the twins 🙂🙂

Eaumyword · 27/06/2022 09:42

Those jumpers are great! I think Gabriella has a real look of her mum and I love her headband.

gingercat02 · 27/06/2022 13:12

HMQ off to Scotland for the summer. She's looking well.

Sophie in a lovely shade of green and great summery hat.

Edward looks like he's in a single breasted suit which will please some people here 😁

Same here. I really like the Norwegian RF. Olaf's father Haakon VII (born a Prince of Denmark as was Olav), was also very popular by all accounts. There are videos available on YouTube of him and the family returning from exile at the end of WWII that are very moving. And again, I highly recommend Atlantic Crossing, which heavily features Olaf, including his close relationship with the British RF (George VI addresses King Haakon as "Uncle".)

NiqueNique · 27/06/2022 13:33

Another really good film is The King’s Choice, which is a biographical war film centred around the efforts of King Haakon and Crown Prince Olaf to protect Norway/hold to their duty when faced with the German invasion.

Thanks for this suggestion. I just took a look at the trailer and see it has English subtitles and is available on YouTube. Looking forward to watching it.

KillingMeDeftly · 27/06/2022 14:09

Oh and I also learned how Haakon is pronounced! More like HAWK-on.
