@LadyEloise1 Forever fighting each other and also marrying each other! Could still happen I guess - Estelle and George or Ingrid and Christian! But I don't think a monarch has married another royal since perhaps HMQ and the DoE. Mathilde and Stephanie are from noble families but not royal.

Agree Meghan looks great in casual chic. I think what's off with the shorts is that the waistband is too high (reminds me of those awful PE shorts one had to wear as a child!) She wears a casual shirt so well though.

@KillingMeDeftly there weer a couple of Greek marriages in the 60s - Princess Sofia to King Juan Carlos of Spain (more or less arranged, and not very happy) and King Constantine of Greece and Princess Anne Marie of Denmark - a love match and seemingly very happy. I think they actually met at Sofia and Juan Carlos’ wedding?

But yes, I think those are the last royal to royal marriages.

I always wonder how no-one ever looks hot and bothered when they're formally dressed up - particularly Ascot or Royal Garden Parties - often long sleeved dresses etc. I have come to the conclusion that the Royals must have a thin layer of ice packs like you take to a picnic sewn into their undergarments

Oh - that’s reminded me - wasn’t there a big scandal when one of Queen Beatrix’s younger sisters basically eloped to marry a Spanish prince, as the Dutch government refused to consent to the wedding?

(I’ve just looked it up on Wikipedia - looks like it was a huge mess! Lots of plane shenanigans and the Dutch cabinet threatening to resign en masse 😳)

Camilla's made her Vogue debut! Really nice interview with her - she comes across as warm and witty.

Bea was at ascot today again, and the most senior royal there, which I find odd as it's the last day.

Anyway, not keen on her polka dot dress, and her hair (although beautiful) needed a 'do'.

I like the polka dot dress except for the big bows on the front - can't think why she thought that would look good! More is not more (unless you're Max!) 😂
Love Cam's interview, it was very endearing that she was so down to earth. She looks great too.

I see Charlene has been at an event looking very glam. I love her gold sandals but I'm not keen on that apple green colour, and I'm not a fan of that dress in general. But it's nice to see that she's looking healthier than she was.

I see Albert didn't get the memo all other royal men have received about wearing a tie in the same colour as their wife's dress.

I thought Beatrice looked great today. That must have been some fright they got when the horse got spooked.

It's nice to see Charlene looking better and back with her family. I love that green, but she's one of those people who look better in very cool tones.

I'm with the PP who can't keep up with all the royal summer events, so I've just been sitting back and enjoying the style carousel rather than analysing them!

Have to say that being a princess with a group of princess relatives around the same age, and getting to dress up in REAL tiaras and gowns, seems like the most fun thing ever!

That is a lovely photo. Earlier today I was watching Harald and Sonja's wedding on YouTube (it seems the algorithm thought I needed to see it), and I was struck by the resemblance between Ingrid and Sonja as a young woman. I also thought it interesting that Sonja did not wear a tiara at her wedding. She was the first non-royal, non-aristocrat to marry an heir to a European throne (I think), and I wonder if that had anything to do with that choice.
