Those are old photos on Twitter. I recognise Kate's white coat with black piping from a few years ago.

I think the royal ladies have inspired the Telegraph, who now have a fashion feature on why the white shoe is your essential summer shoe that goes with every outfit

No Max at Garter day today, sadly. And Kate’s in a bright blue, to match the Garter sash (I expect nothing less of her, although to be fair this is the first time she’s done so). But - she has embellished shoes on!

I think Kate has worn that coat dress before. Or if not then she has one that's very similar to it!

Very dull and safe outfit from Catherine today, after such a great Jubilee I was hoping for better.

I'm disappointed in Sophie too, her boobs look uncomfortably squashed (I do love her hat thought).

I think for such formal occasions it has to be a dull and safe choice.

Kate's shoes have an Aquazzura vibe but I'm not keen on that shade of blue. The coat dress fits beautifully but is rather dull.

Agree that the fit of Sophie’s dress isn't quite right, and a bra intervention may be required.

Cherie Blair is in a bad hat and shoes. And Tony needs to push his hat down.

Camilla's kids are there. I also think of them in a sort of limbo. Not royal but their mum will be Queen one day!!

Of her many blue coat dresses, I prefer the darker blue Eponine one.

I like the blue of Kate's outfit. She's not a focus of the event so it's not surprising she's chosen a safe look.

I like Kate's hat, not spotted her shoes yet.
I'm horrified amazed that Tone has been selected. But it's given Cherie a chance to wear her Grannie's eiderdown as a dress.
All in all a bit disappointing.

In the article on the Nine Provinces Tiara there is a photo of Mathilde. She looks stunning.

I often think when looking at and admiring the jewels on here that there was a lot of suffering around them both in their procurement and the money spent on them when many of the subjects of royalty were living in dire poverty.

It's just too dull to comment on. At least she has interesting shoes on!
Sophie dress is great. Enjoying her sleeves!

Arghhh I intensely dislike this neck line on Kate, it just does not work for her. I like the rest of the outfit though, nice shade of blue, flared skirt... but it's back to boring coat dresses again. Need a bit of Max to liven things up a bit!!

I like Sophie's pink look, and that hat is Fab. U. Lous.
Kate needs a blouse under that coat dress (shudder). Looking at that older picture - she's struggled in the limelight, hasn't she? The whole body language tells of a person not seeking to be the centre of attention, so she's done well in her role.

I feel like they should've swapped outfits. The neckline of the blue would've suited Sophie better and Kate could carry off the higher-neck of the pink without her chest looking uncomfortably flattened.

I love the pink on Sophie but she could have done a Zara and worn less matchy matchy shoes.
I loved Zara's lilac shoes, bag and deeper hat with her bright pink dress at the Jubilee. It was different, unexpected.

I agree @KillingMeDeftly would have been a good swap! Other than that, the only thing I can find to say about those outfits is I like the blue coat dress alongside the darker blue shoes.

Not really sure what Camilla was doing with the floor-length white dress and ?tan stilettos under the uniform. Looks a bit swamped in it all. Lovely wry smiles though.

I'm not keen on Sophie's sugar almond pink dress, I think the sleeves are too long for one thing. But I like her hat a lot!
I wonder if Camilla's long white dress is harking back to Official Court Dress, as she was taking part in an historic ceremony?

Yeah. I like the blue Aquazurra shoes, but not the clutch.
Sophie has squished boobs and it needed a bit of a more vibrant berry colour to lift it from sugared almonds.

There's a picture of HM with Charles and Cam where she looks awfully frail.
