The image was chosen because it's a guy and OP knew it would provoke a certain response as mumsnet is notoriously transphobic. It's a joke that people here like to pretend they're on the same wavelength as women like J K Rowling when the truth is, they simply can't cope with the sight of a man in a dress. Or anyone else who is different to them really

I notice these days that it is cool to poke fun at middle aged mothers on social media. Pearl clutchers. Boring. Transphobic. Blah blah blah.

Except we are the ones who hold the purse strings. I am the GC person who has access to money in this house. My inclusive 'open-minded' DC do not. And I literally cant figure out how their tights will look, shorn of all this porny messaging.

Time for a Tshirt, I think:

Boring
PearlClutching
Prude

'Gives No Fucks' on the back.

You're desperately flailing about, clutching at straws now because your own transphobia has been called out. You are making a fool of yourself now. Just put down the shovel, you've done enough to embarrass yourself.

Do you need a break from the internet?

You really hate being called out don't you?

I think you need a break from the internet as you are the one making a fool of yourself. Stop digging. Put the shovel down.

Mumsnet is notoriously feminist. No one but a few radical Meninists/TRAs believe it is 'transphobic'. No one. The only transphobic one is you.

Just stop digging that hole already.

LilacWines · 13/05/2022 13:59

No one:

@HailAdrian Mumsnet is so transphobic!

Literally no one:

@HailAdrian Mumsnet is silly!

Absolutely no one on the entire planet:

@HailAdrian Do you need a break from the internet?

Frothing at the mouth to tell us how wrong we all are, to discuss something that matters to us, ordering us to take a break from the internet, yet strangely he's.... still here, wanting our attention. If I hadn't had toddlers he might get a rise out of me but I'm not interested in grown men behaving like children. At all.

Show me on the doll where the bad ladies hurt you.

DaisyQuakeJohnson · 13/05/2022 14:00

Somewhat ironic that the only person who has been transphobic on this thread, is the one calling everyone else it.

Biddie191 · 13/05/2022 14:01

Someone's going to have to enlighten me as to what a 'Broney' is - I'm too scared to google from my work computer...
I fine the advert creepy too, sort of the love-child of the clown and little girl from the 1970's television test-card. Clowns have always freaked me out.

Grin

Baffling, isn't it? I've written half a report, taken stuff to the charity shop, been to a gym class, gone food shopping, eaten lunch, hoovered, written some more of the report, tidied up a bit, answered a bunch of emails, and here he still is, posting again and again, trying to make grown women feel bad about ourselves for disliking paedophile imagery in adverts. Odd.

It's an adult male who likes 'my little ponys', I think.

'A brony is a grown-up fan of My Little Pony, namely of the 2010 show. Bronies are a community of fans'

Do you really believe anyone will lose sleep over you 'calling them out' on mumsnet? Transphobia is rife on here and I say that as someone who has been called a 'terf.' It's ok to be gender critical. It's not ok to be a dick.

Complete segue, but am in awe of your producitivity. Ok, let me get off MN now and get out of the house.

darlingdodo · 13/05/2022 14:06

I'd never heard of snag tights before. Just had a look on the website and the whole vibe is a little 'odd'.

CorpseReviver · 13/05/2022 14:07

@JanisMoplin Hey cheers Grin I had a very late start as I was drinking much too late last night so I'm desperately trying to fit everything in before I have to go and get the kids (in 45 mins eek)

And my house is still a complete shit tip and I have guests coming at 6.30. Eek again

HailAdrian · 13/05/2022 14:07

I suspect you are already aware but 'he' is a 'she.' :)

OvOvO · 13/05/2022 14:07

@CorpseReviver how bloody patronising!

I have to admit, I was impressed, too.

Did you miss the post where I explained you can’t “choose” to look at “promoted by” posts on Pinterest? They just appear. But that doesn’t fit with your agenda does it?

You're not fooling anybody. You are a femphobe, you are not GC. There is no 'transphobia' on here, if there was, you'd point it out.

The only one being transphobic is you. You are making a fool of yourself. On some level you must know that. So stop digging.

Yes! I am always on the lookout for decently-fitting tights, but I want to know what the tights look like, not what someone in 40s makeup and green hair doing a Betty Boop impression while showing her arse looks like.

I appreciate that my legs are boring middle-aged mummy legs that only walk around doing boring mummy things, and I am clearly not living the Snag aspirational lifestyle, but I have a lot on these days and I really just want tights that fit.

CorpseReviver could you stop sloth-shaming those of us who are struggling to finish off the cup of tea we started half an hour ago, thank you.

I'm so sorry. It was never my intention to be slothphobic. I will report for reeducation immediately.
