Golly it’s windy out there! PurplecatDog won’t even go into the garden, he hates the noise in his ears poor boy. I am slobbing around today - got job interviews coming up and have to do prep work. Old fave harem pants from Anthropologie with cream Docs, and an old Vivienne Westwood tee that my bf got free with something else, lol.

I’ve been following this thread for a few days and love all your outfits! Hope you don’t mind me joining.
I used to use the Cladwell app for very similar reasons ie. To be more motivated to make some kind of an effort and not go for the lazy option every day. I work with dogs and horses so outside most of the time- generally muddy and windswept.
I wore this to pop into town to pick up some more sunscreen and hylaronic acid. We’re going to the spa this evening- I try to swim for around 25 minutes and have found the steam room & sauna seem to reset my peri- menopausal body. I have adynemosis and recently started taking progesterone to help with heavy and very painful periods. I went to see a private gynaecologist recently after refusing a hysterectomy for the last 10 years. I got engaged earlier this year and was stressing about potentially wrecking my dress 🙈 I was fully going to have the hysterectomy if this was advised but trying progesterone instead.

Plus a work picture with one of my horses, when I saw this I immediately ordered 2 pairs of new jeans (these are Paige via Depop) as I hated how they looked totally mad with my socks!! I packed away all my skinny jeans recently and haven’t really found what to replace them with. I’m going to try some Lee bootcut ones.

@FjordFancier I like the white dress. I’ve borrowed one for our holidays. I sadly have endo, adenomyosis and cysts. I have a full hysterectomy booked in August, far too many years of suffering here.

@EllaPaella I love that top. You’ve reminded me I have a cami top in similar colours, bizarrely also from river island.

been a chilled weekend here. Had an OWS and then today a day at home. Just jeans and a Mutherhood T-shirt.

Went Mother of Bride shopping with a friend, wearing one of my M&S dresses. Felt such a wally wandering around M&S in it!

Friend is a size 20 and I've never shopped with her before, and generally don't go clothes shopping with other women ever (smash and grab with my sisters in Sainsbury trailing various grumpy kids around doesn't count!).

It was very disheartening to find so many shops don't stock above 16. Reiss was 14 (but can'order 16 in). Hobbs said they had some 20s in the back hushed tones like some sort of dirty secret.
Phase Eight had quite a few and she did get a lovely dress which fits well and she feels comfortable in. She is going to get a magnificent hat!

Welcome @FjordFancier and hello everyone. Game of two halves today as in zoom meetings - newsreader chic, lol. Top half is an All Saints waistcoat and white asos top. Combats are Jaki and my furry Uggs, lol.

@Greyhairwarmheart loveiy outfit, I love white and navy so much. What shoes did you wear? I struggle with my cropped jeans and trousers, all ears if you have any tips! Your ds sounds really sweet, mine is 24 on Thursday. He buys me lots of Nikes bless him. I think he’s sick of my converse!!
@TheOrigRights Im glad your friend found something nice in Phase 8, my daughter is very curvy and struggles to find things for dressier occasions- we found the same issue last year- very little choice in her size. She eventually got a one shoulder dress from Forever New in a size 16 but it was ridiculously hard to zip up. And what it is about wearing an item of clothing made by the shop you are in that makes you feel so conspicuous, I’m so embarrassed doing that too! Thought it was just me.

I'm feeling a bit obsessed at the moment, I loved my recent purchase so much that I keep staring at full-price items on Sezane's website and wondering what I can afford to buy and what I shall give up on! I'm tempted by their trousers, but what if the sizing is off, maybe I should just stick with knitwear instead...

Thank you for your opinion on the jeans- having worn skinny jeans for a long time it’s hard to find a flattering alternative that I can tuck into boots at work or to ride in. And it’s confusing which shoes to wear when not wearing boots!
I also love Sezane and have ordered a few times but only ever ended up keeping a silk wrap top which I haven’t worn enough to justify the cost really!

I’ve had this blouse a month and though I love it, I haven’t worn it yet. I think it feels too dressed up so I’m forcing myself to wear with denim shorts
