You noticed a handful of people posting Boden clothes over a couple of pages in a 20+ page thread and you thought that must mean the entire thing is a Boden ad?

Pretty poor strategy for Boden if all they can drum up on an entire thread apparently devoted to them is a few people posting (admittedly very lovely) items, most of which they don't even stock any more, and lots of recommendations for other brands. Honestly, the misguided ad hunting on this board is so tedious.

Anyway, no Boden for me so presumably I can post without being accused of being a shill (although I'm about to post a load of Cos, so I eagerly await them sending me payment, I'll happily take it in free clothes...)

Yesterday- I was in the office for the morning then headed home, hence why I look a bit crumpled as this was post a (very warm!) 4hr car journey.
Top - Cos
Trousers - Cos

Worn with Philip Hogg trainers and a bright green silk shirt open as a jacket over the top for a meeting.

Today - absolutely shattered so in super comfy clothes. I'm not great in the heat so have also been trying to keep cool.

Sandals - H&M

Also, can I ask your opinions on this Cos dress, please? Keep or return? I can't decide, although I do like it. It's backless, which I love, but then I'm worried that means it's not super practical.

My Reformation potential birthday dress had arrived when I got home. It's not for me, I don't think. It's a bit big anyway, which doesn't help, but there's just SO much fabric and it makes me look wide and feels too hot, especially for a summer party, plus I think it's the wrong colour for me, so it's going back. I still like the Reiss one so I think I'll keep it anyway, but I don't know if it feels special enough for a birthday. I've ordered this from ASOS now, which I'm aware will be totally marmite and will probably be hideous in the flesh, but at least no one could accuse it of not being out there enough for a birthday... 😂

I really can't decide between the two dresses, they are both beautiful. I think maybe the Reformation one has the edge but honestly both look amazing. I wasn't sure on the white Reiss one at first but seeing it again it's just so lovely on you.

Keep the Cos dress btw.. perfect LBD for the summer. Dress up or down it'll be such a versatile piece for your wardrobe.

@toastfiend my inner magpie is swooping with utter joy at the ASOS dress you linked. It is fabulous and you must show us a picture when it arrives. It's showing as out of stock which is probably just as well as it's exactly something I'd buy myself.

The other two options are also lovely, haha, and the reiss one is my favourite out of those two.

But WOW the sequins are in another league.

Hello everyone! Nice to see this thread is still going strong!

I’ve been struggling to take nice real life photos of me so I’ve included my entries from Stylebook for Monday- tomorrow. Will try to take actual photos going forward!!

Today I bought my final tops for summer (two short sleeve linen shirts from Zara). I have 30 items of clothing/shoes in my summer capsule wardrobe & I feel good about them all. Going to sell the summer bits I no longer wear on eBay. Would love to do a capsule wardrobe for every season but I seem to find it so much easier to do summer for some reason.

My Boden (lol) blouse has finally arrived, and while I love it a lot, I'm worried whether I look a bit ridiculous in it because of the puffy sleeves so would appreciate some honest opinions.
To give a bit of a background, this spring DH, DD and I had a family photoshoot outside with sakura flowers and all. I chose to wear a pink dress with long balloon sleeves & velvet shoes and thought I look nice, until the photographer told me I remind her of medieval pages with this outfit.🙄 I looked at myself at the mirror and to my horror realized she might be right. I also have shortish hair and kinda childish face so I guess that contributed to the entire impression.😩
So yeah, I'm now wary of voluminous sleeves and don't want to look like a "page". Do I in this blouse??
I tried to iron the sleeves to keep the volume down a bit, but after a minute they were back to their puffy shape, so it didn't really help.😢

@toastfiend - you look fab in both Reiss and Reformation dresses, also that ASOS dress looks amazing, can't wait to see the picture of it on you! I'm not a big fan of the Cos dress though because of the neckline, but it suits you a lot and looks really versatile.

@OublietteBravo - I also did ballroom dancing as a child! Hated it though, but I've been reintroduced to it in my late twenties and now love it a lot.
Do you have a chance to go waltzing sometimes? I'm actually planning to go to a dance party this Sunday & very much looking forward to it. However I probably won't waltz a lot, people there know I'm more of a rumba type of person.🤗

@toucaninjapan the blouse is lovely and you don't look like Shakespeare so don't worry! I think it would look better tucked in though, that would balance it all out and the sleeves seem less puffy.

@toucaninjapan that’s just crazy! I bought that same linen blouse in 3 colours and immediately sent that one back as it’s too pastel for my taste. But it looks lovely on you and whoever had it in earlier.(?) I’ve kept the white as it’s a basic and the sunflower yellow which I have to decide on
sezane is nice. It’s kind of upper high street prices and is B Corp certified. They seem to try hard to produce decent stuff on decent pay to workers but theirs advertising and marketing needs work. Archives are Sunday but that will be like an NCT sale in terms of rummaging. I think Bastille day was £10% off last year. I have a few things I’m hoping to snag

I just had an email from Cos to say their sale had started. Ages ago I have eyes up a wrap cardi bit couldn’t justify it. I just ordered for half price! Nothing amazing just cosy and chilled. 😃
