Urban Outfitters was always a favourite for my eldest son and my stepdaughter when they were teens.

I struggled a few weeks ago for jeans for my teen and eventually she ended up with Levi’s jeans because they fitted like they were made for her 🤦‍♀️ Bit pricey but so far they’ve been worth every penny.

the sunshine came out here. It was quite cloudy this morning but I braved shorts and a hoody.

Yes I was thinking this @Softpebbles we are near Bicester Village so could always pop in what she's really struggling with is summer wear everything she has is making her to hot.

@Sickoffamilydrama I'm massively out of date as I've not bought any teen clothes since 2012 but what about Jack wills? Is that still popular? Hollister too . The teenager who babysat for us last weekend was in a Ralph Lauren top and Anthropologie trousers!

OMG 😳 @Sooverthemill much as we can afford designer it would mean she only had one or two items, we've just gone through a few websites and she's got some bits from New Look 🤞 they will fit. Problem she has noticed as well is that lots makes her look young and whilst she doesn't want to look older she doesn't want to look babyish.

Been jet washing the drive and scrubbing the house today so very casual outfit.

That's good @Sickoffamilydrama ! The teen lives in one of the poshest roads here and goes to the private school we live next door to. I suspect her budget is reasonable! It's odd as where we were before most teens shopped in tk maxx

We went for tea. Had one of those nothing to wear moments. Felt huge in everything.

@Sooverthemill most of DDs clothes are new look. They are ok but mostly rubbish quality. Sports wear shorts always fit her well. Nike Pro in particular. She’s recently asked for a shein order. I’ve not received it yet but I’m under no illusion it will be any good.

yes it's a hard age especially as they are still finding their style middle DD was desperate for some of the gathered crop tops and she wore it out looking fabulous someone said something mean and she's not wore it since

Teenagers can be very cruel.
its cold but DH is off for the day so DD and I are making cheesecake ( it’s Shavuot) and planning a picnic tea on her bed

Most of DDs clothes are New Look (11 going on 13) but she's also a charity shop queen thanks to me. I've even got a few of her friends into it. They love the £2 Oxted charity shop because I'm like fill your boots. They like getting fancy outfits there - especially the £2 coats and heeled shoes.

I've found that not much has changed since I was that age really (well a couple
Of years older) in that brands matter and having a logo is cool not pearl clutching.

For me it was Naf Naf, Kickers, Wallabies, LA gear, Nike, and Benetton but Nike is still always a winner today. Black Nike cropped hoodies seem to win universal approval. Black Nike anything actually.

I'm talking DD and her best friend to see McFly after racing today at the local course. I'd normally wear a frock but suspect I might go fake teenage and deeply embarrass them.

Took DD and her friend to see McFly at the local racecourse. Loads of fun.

Lovely outfits.. The weather has been pretty crap here the last few days. Freezing wind but occasionally warm if you sit in the sheltered spot of the garden. Here is what I wore out for tea Friday night. It's been a quiet weekend for us as we had visitors all week so just needed some time to unwind. There was a local street party on Friday which was nice but apart from that we haven't done anything. I haven't seen many jubilee celebrations around here, more people just enjoying an extra bank holiday.

Not so warm today, but still quite mild. PurplecatDog and I are sitting in the garden. He’s a Spanish rescue so loves warmer weather. Dress is from All Saints - probably makes me look enormous as it’s so voluminous but it’s so comfy. Awesome boiler suit @toastfiend , such a great colour on you - keep meaning to check out L&Y, their pieces look lovely.
