I can’t see any detail!! 😭😭 we’ve not got any television channels at all so I’m watching everything Jubilee related live on YouTube. I’m planning to rewatch the full broadcasting once they are uploaded. What happened with the procession/seating?

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 11:38

Hmmm true enough, could be stirring! We don’t like stirring on this thread...

Gooseysgirl · 03/06/2022 11:39

I agree that didn't look quite right, they should have been seated at the end of the row so they didn't have to shuffle past the York's? I doubt the queen switched it on until 11.30

paradyning · 03/06/2022 11:41

Some info on Bea yesterday.

twitter.com/polkadotpopp/status/1532478914420957204?s=21&t=NOv1_bczbTlRua22hCFvNw

The author thinks she had two Zara headbands on.

eggandonion · 03/06/2022 11:43

Are we allowed to discuss protocol and seating? I haven't seen all the arriving, stupid work!
I really hope the Wessexes become the Edinburghs. They seem to have been very supportive over the past few years.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/06/2022 11:44

Ooh. A song I know.

The shots from the camera up high are magnificent.

Maireas · 03/06/2022 11:45

What a wonderful setting, and what glorious music. That psalm is so lovely.
I like to see all the religious groups represented, and sitting next to each other.

OP posts:
NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 11:45

We’ve discussed protocol in the past, no problems with that I don’t think. But I agree with others that contentious matters/arguing/hate/personal slurs etc don’t belong here. It’s a nice thread without the batshittery that happens on many other discussions...

Maireas · 03/06/2022 11:46

Sophie's dress seems to have a sheen under the cathedral lights.

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 11:46

Not meaning to speak out of turn @Maireas as it’s your thread! Smile

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 11:47

Yes I noticed the sheen too, similar to Anne’s. Really liked most of the outfits today although didn’t get a really good look...

Gooseysgirl · 03/06/2022 11:48

Zara and Carrie

I agree with most of what's already been observed, though I'm not keen on Sophie's crinkled tin foil look. Kate looks fab, Eugenie and Zara are the misses for me. I haven't had a chance to watch anything live yet, but I might stick it on in a mo after I've finished cake baking. Oh, and I agree that Carrie looks good too, she scrubs up very well for these kind of events.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/06/2022 11:49

Lots of pink today. Is it back in fashion? (I know nothing about what is fashionable.)

Maireas · 03/06/2022 11:49

It's not my thread, @NiqueNique !
It's a collective! Say what you want, but this tends to just be about style and beauty.
Certain Danish princesses and their ambitions excepted 😉!

GrouchyKiwi · 03/06/2022 11:49

I quite like Zara's outfit. It's very cheerful.

eggandonion · 03/06/2022 11:49

The camera angles are amazing, you can see so much more detail than when you are actually in St Paul's.
It must be amazing to be in the midst of the music. And to see all the vestments. Is there a church equivalent of mumsnet where clergy discuss mitres?

AtillatheHun · 03/06/2022 11:50

The 10second echo in the St. Paul’s done at the end of the Vivat was amazing
I seem to remember that there are lots of chorister parents on here so if yours were singing today - bravo. All eyes 👀on the conductor, very sweet

Serenster · 03/06/2022 11:52

Are Bea and Sophie Winkleman wearing the same dress in different colours? It looks like it. Eugenie’s orange and Zara’s cerise are both lovely colours, but a bit trussed up for their figures, I think.

I love Anne’s shot silk and her hat with the trim picking it up, and Camilla’s embellished coat. Meghan played it safe, but nicely - I love the big collar framing her face. It’s too tight though, it’s bunching over her waist and pulling on her upper body, and I’d have ditched the flap that’s sticking out of her back. Kate’s yellow is a gorgeous colour and I love the wrap detail. Please, look into brooches, though Kate…

(I do love the hats with proper brims though - so flattering in photos!)

Kate and Meghan both look very elegant. It must be nerve wracking for Meghan.

I love Sophie and Louise, gorgeous dresses, beautiful colour palette when they are together. Lovely to see Louise in a 'grown up' outfit.

My favourite is always Lady Helen, couldn't get a good look at her outfit, but it look very Dior New Look.

Camilla has really nailed her look, always looks elegant and regal. Great photos online of herself and Charles walking back to Clarence House yesterday, stopping to chat to the

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 11:53

@eggandonion yes that’s what I love about watching big occasions in beautiful historical settings like this - you see so much more.

Im not able to follow the service as I’ve not found it being broadcast live so I’ll have to wait to watch it. Sad times as I really love this sort of thing. @Maireas i agree, I always find it a very grounding sight, religious groups coming together at events like this.

KillingMeDeftly · 03/06/2022 11:54

@Serenster Eugenie and Zara clearly never watched Trinny and Susannah, who said high necks suit the flat of bosom best! A v-neck would be more flattering on them both.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/06/2022 11:54

Those photos are gorgeous, Serenster.

garlicandsapphires · 03/06/2022 11:36

What do you mean by this? I think you're stirring.

No stirring at all.

They’re sat between Sarah Chatto and the Yorks, but they were last in so they should have been on the end or there should have been a clear path to their seats from the front.

at royal events seated people, as the Yorks were, shouldn’t have to shuffle out into the aisle to let people in. And the Sussexes shouldn’t have had to wait to sit. It should all be seamless and she will have clocked it

gluenotsoup · 03/06/2022 11:55

Love this!
I agree that Camilla is looking more and more regal as we enter a sort of transition. As always, the large hat and coat shape really suit her. Both Bea and Eug look lovely, bold colour choices and sticking to their own style. Edo always gets it right, Jack looks a bit uncomfortable.
Meghan looks good, I love the earrings but not the flappy bit on the shoulder blades, I think it’s a stone colour, and I like that H has matched his tie to it.
I love the yellow dress and hat on Kate, a simple cut that she carries well, and again stunning earrings.
Sophie Winkelman and Sarah Chatto both look elegant. I quite like Zara’s dress too, no sign of Peter Phillips? I like to think that rather than go alone he stayed with HM to watch it on tv with a cup of tea 😊
