Loving William's slippers! 😊

I like Kate's look this evening. I don't think she could have topped the gold Bond dress (and probably doesn't want to have to keep trying to be more and more glam) so almost better to go to the other extreme with monochrome and understated.

The black with the white stripe will surely be filed under 'suitable for Ireland trip. Note: Guinness'.

I thought she looked great - sleek and modern. It's not as iconic as the gold dress but let's face it, she'd be hard pressed to top that so maybe she decided not to try!

Chewbecca · 20/05/2022 08:32

Kate looks dressed perfectly for the occasion imo, but black and white are not her colours and she is never going to look her absolute best in them.

I've said before I am sure she is a Summer which means no black. Her colouring is v v similar to mine however, unfortunately for me, our sizes could not be more different!

I loved the colour of the red coat dress, that made her glow.

Saw pics of Chas & Cam in Canada but I think all re-wears for Camilla, nothing even worth comments apart from she made sure she took her old faithfuls. At price per wear Comilla's boots must be the cheapest item in any Royal wardrobe

LadyEloise1 · 20/05/2022 08:41

@Maireas I would love, love, love to have straight hair. Mine isn't straight and isn't curly and can be a frizzy mess.

Sophie looks great- very glam.
She is "hit or miss" fashion wise. Sometimes she aces it other times not so much.

KillingMeDeftly · 20/05/2022 09:23

Sophie's dress reminds me of this one Kate wore years ago. She's never repeated it but it's perfect for events like film premieres. She was a bit curvier back then as she'd not long had George so perhaps it's now too big for her now.

That's a good way of looking at it. I paid 1000 lira for a pair of leather boots in Florence about 21 years ago, which was a lot of money for me at the time, but they're still going strong so cost per wear must be pennies by now!

Maireas · 20/05/2022 17:25

Let me tell you, @LadyEloise1 - I've yearned for curls. I have 1a hair, I get up in the morning, put a comb through it, that's it.
When I made my First Holy Communion my mum put curlers in and gave me (ridiculously) curly hair. Which I loved. All the other mammies admired her work which was, sadly, temporary. Happy days.

@KillingMeDeftly - that's a gorgeous look on Kate - it's from September 2013, shame she's not reworn it. She looks lovely.

I'm a 2A I think. But I can't blow dry it straight.
I get lovely ringlets in the rain but once a comb or brush hits it, it becomes a frizzy mess Sad

PortiaFimbriata · 20/05/2022 17:53

As a long term lurker I just thought I'd drop in and let the tiara-fanciers know about this free exhibition at Sotheby's. Looks fun.

Ooh that looks/sounds good!😂

KillingMeDeftly · 20/05/2022 18:56

@LadyEloise1 embrace the curls and stop brushing your hair! Mine is probably 3A and I only comb it when it's wet.

Zara at the Tusk Ball. I like the relaxed vibe of the dress but the matchy-matchy shoes are a bit 90s bridesmaid.

And Charlotte Casiraghi looking very glamorous at the Cannes Film Festival. I like the simple cut better than the more avant-garde styles she usually favours. If I had to quibble I'd say the fit is just slightly off as it's creasing a bit but she looks as beautiful as ever.

chesterelly1 · 21/05/2022 12:16

I do think that style suits Zara well, hope she's noting the v neck is much more flattering than a high neck. However a bit of me thinks she's taken a leaf out of Kate's book with the colour and textural print - it is a bit elephanty, for want of a better word.

Maireas · 21/05/2022 13:31

Has Zara watched the Sewing Bee and re-purposed a duvet cover? I don't think that the cut or colour are flattering. Charlotte Casiraghi looks as chic as ever, I like the navy and the cut, although you're right about the fit, Deftly.

paradyning · 21/05/2022 16:16

Gosh that colour washes Zara out and the shoes don't go.
That's a beautiful blue colour on Charlotte.

KillingMeDeftly · 21/05/2022 17:12

Zara's shoes are dreadful, unless she's tripping the light fantastic in the next series of Strictly!

Eaumyword · 21/05/2022 18:13

Not a fan of the colour of Zara's dress and I think she suits her hair far better softer round her face. I quite like the style of the dress though, better than her high neck numbers!

AdaColeman · 21/05/2022 18:28

Zara's looking under par there, the colour of the dress absolutely drains her and the pale make up does nothing to help her. Style, fit and fabric all dreadful, and why oh why does she so often stand with her legs crossed in that "desperate for the loo" stance? Has someone said it will make her look slimmer in photographs I wonder? Why doesn't a friend or the photographer tell her how ridiculous it looks?

A state banquet in Stockholm, and some good tiara action from the Swedes! I like the colour and style of Queen Silvia's dress, it's very elegant, although the design of that order makes the whole thing somewhat ecclesiastical!
CPV in a lovely shade of blue, but I find the dress is a bit fussy, especially with all the orders she's wearing.
