It's really sleek and her hair looks great but I guess we were expecting something with more of a bang after the Bond dress!

I agree! She looks really good, but I was hoping for a bit more glam.

Kate looks good - her arms! 💪
She looks very smooth and chic. I know others on here disagree, but I'm not keen on the straightened hair with the centre parting (we've talked about this before, I know I'm in the minority!)

Completely agree about her hair. It's just not 'enough' for an occasion.
Her arms are in a league of their own.

Maireas · 19/05/2022 20:10

William in the velvet jacket again, which I quite like.

Back with you after updating my passwords and then having trouble signing back in. Crikey what an effort.
I'm not keen on tonight's look, earrings are fab but the dress is a bit plain and the white band does nothing for her figure. I thought she was looking a bit haggard in a couple of the photos, although that might be lighting. A bit like me leaving the house thinking I look fine until I get in the car whose mirrors tell me otherwise!

RockaLock · 19/05/2022 20:16

Not only is William in a velvet jacket, he also appears to be wearing his velvet slippers (embroidered with a plane).

Kate's dress is OK, I mean it looks very nice, but it's not very wow. Maybe with the cost of living etc she decided it would be good not to overdo things tonight, though.

Maybe I'm easily pleased but I absolutely love her look tonight and think she looks sleek and fabulous.

dolphinsarentcommon · 19/05/2022 20:33

Williams slippers! 😂

Hepzibar · 19/05/2022 20:34

I love her look, sleek and fabulous

RomainingCalm · 19/05/2022 20:42

Loving William's slippers! 😊

I like Kate's look this evening. I don't think she could have topped the gold Bond dress (and probably doesn't want to have to keep trying to be more and more glam) so almost better to go to the other extreme with monochrome and understated.

The black with the white stripe will surely be filed under 'suitable for Ireland trip. Note: Guinness'.

Gooseysgirl · 19/05/2022 20:46

I love KM's look tonight! Just missing a bit of sparkle to finish it off.. sparkly shoes would have been great! William's shoes are so naf - KM totally had a hand in that 😂

I’m not keen on her hair like that either, very dull.

RockaLock · 19/05/2022 20:51

Grin at Guinness dress! If Kate is reading this thread she'll be gutted she hadn't already thought of that! I think Max has worn the same dress before. Probably with much bigger earrings though.

There's a video of Tom Cruise helping Kate up the steps. I wonder if she ever thinks "fuck me, my life is surreal sometimes. Never in a million years did I think I'd be walking into a film premiere hand in hand with Tom Cruise".

MotherofPearl · 19/05/2022 21:02

Guinness dress Grin

paradyning · 19/05/2022 21:04

Wtf. Wills' turn for literal dressing.

I don’t mind Kate’s outfit tonight, it’s elegant and low key. Probably a good choice in the current climate? I quite like her sleeker hair. It can be a bit Morticia, but it makes a nice change after 20 years of bouncy blowouts.

Max has indeed worn the jumpsuit version of this Roland Mouret. I think I prefer the dress.

I think Max wears it better.
I'm sorry but I'm getting Morticia vibes on Kate.

LadyEloise1 · 19/05/2022 21:28

Kate and Leti's toned arms ShockEnvy

justasking111 · 19/05/2022 21:32

Just watched a video of her arrival, she looks very serious usual grin missing. You're right about the Morticia look. Very severe

paradyning · 19/05/2022 21:42

I like the cut out stilettos though.
And I guess it's a departure to have a sleek modern look, the white RM dress she wore a few times was stunning on her.

SnottyLottie · 19/05/2022 21:44

I like it. I love glam Kate 🥰

RomainingCalm · 19/05/2022 22:28

Anne and Sophie both looking very elegant at a reception for St John's Ambulance at Windsor Castle.

There are also some great pictures online of Charles and Camilla in Canada. Not sure that there are any big fashion 'wow' moments though (and the black boots seem to have made it safely across the Atlantic!).

i think she looks fabulous, elegant but contemporary, and I love her hair like that, the dress would look ridiculous with Disney Princess curls.

StartupRepair · 20/05/2022 02:45

Why is Tom Cruise everywhere with the royal family?

Doesn't have to be Disney Princess curls. Just maybe something with a bit of wave and movement? Maybe an elegant updo?
My hair is like this naturally and I'm always envious of people with waves and curls!
