SOTD L'Art de la Guerre - Jovoy. Nice apple opening but the dry down is horrible on me. I smell of musty old books but not in a good way.

SOTD Diptyque Philosykos.

The heat here is terrible - 29° indoors! At night! I have quite wilted and we have another week of this at least. Would be lovely if I was by the sea, in an air conditioned hotel, but on the outskirts of the city it's awful.

SOTN is Samsara, which really shines for those times when you're living in an industrial oven.

Got some free samples from Penhaligon’s - can’t wait to try them as I’ve heard great things!

SOTD is Chanel No 5

Something bad happened this morning and I’m feeling sad. Despite enjoying lots of different fragrances recently, Chanel No 5 feels like home. I’ve drenched myself in it today.

My holiday perfumes arrived this morning!
Shay & Blue blood orange, watermelon and white peaches. All sprayed in.paoer smell quite nice. Ditto EA green tea and nectarine blossom.

Glad to hear they arrived in time @Chevyimpala67. I like Shay & Blue. The only one of those I've tried is White Peaches, which drives me nuts through no fault of its own as it reminds me of something from my past and I can't work out what it is. I've heard Blood Oranges is really good.

SOTD is the Sol de Janiero Cheirosa 62 body mist. Apparently it's the same scent as the bum bum cream. It's nutty pistachio and caramel/vanilla with a bit of white flowers. I probably smell like a teenager but I don't care! It's gorgeous and really summery, so perfect for the weather today. It's pretty strong for a body mist and is lasting better than quite a few of the perfumes I have.

We have no heatwave and I am annoyed!

sOTD a cocktail of JM Wild Bluebell and Wood Sage and Sea Salt - they are both part of the “coastal walks” edit so I figured they would go well together, especially since WB has very little staying power.

Living in a flat, it is 30° indoors here all day and night and there's no dip likely until late next week.

I couldn't get on with S&B Blood Oranges, @Chevyimpala67 it smelled like rotting fruit to me when I sprayed it in M&S! I couldn't flee fast enough. I must go back and see if it has the same effect on me.

Speaking of Blood Oranges I am currently sporting Aaron Terence Hughes. I started down the slippery slope of ordering 3x2ml samples for a tenner plus postage. Then it was the 10ml spray. I’m saving up for a 50ml. His “Neon” and “Jasmine Narcotique” are utterly gorgeous and hugely projecting and long-lasting. This man is going to make a beggar of me, I know it

S&B white peaches is very pleasant but literally no longevity at all.

I like Shay & Blue White Peaches. Reminds me a bit of Tresor edt ftom my youth.

SOTN is Angel's Share, which blooms wonderfully in the heat.

Ooh, meant to add that I smelled new thread favourite Kayali Vanilla on the bus today. No idea which passenger was wearing it, I drove myself mad guessing though.

Off on my holiday today so sotd will be avon lbd weekend which is a lovely citrusy musk by rodrigo flores-roux.

I've got a selection of perfumes for my holiday - kayali vanilla, kayali musk, Avon lbd the dress, 4160tuesdays SSOTPE and my new EA green tea and nectarine blossom 🌸

My opinion on the Penhaligon’s samples:
Halfeti: smells like deodorant on my skin.
Bluebell: initially too bitter and overpowering. Dries down lovely with a hint of sweet.

I enjoyed trying them out but wouldn’t purchase. I’d like to try out the portraits discovery set.

SOTD is Cheirosa 62 body mist layered with Viva la Juicy Gold Couture.

Sotd (and yesterday) are samples of Cecile and Aubine from To The Fairest. I love them!! I really want to buy full bottles of both but don't know if I can justify the cost. Especially as I treated myself to Chanel Paris-Riviera yesterday

Does anyone else have either of these? Do they last well? I am finding the samples fade quickly but I'm not sure if that's just because they don't spray out much in one go.

@musicmum75 I’ve got samples of both of those. Aubine wasn’t for me on first try but I’ve put it away to try again later. I liked Cecile. I think it lasted ok on me but it’s quite a light/fresh scent so maybe likely to be bit more short lived.

I’m jealous of the Chanel, that one sounds lovely!

In a fit of nostalgia I’ve just ordered a bottle of Tommy Girl. At least it’s really cheap these days.
