SOTN is Aromatics Elixir, because it will be my birthday tomorrow and this used to be my special occasion smell. Actually, having moved away from it for a while (thinking it had become awful), the reformulation is not too bad, it still reminds me of the original, and has brought back lots of lovely memories.

@Chevyimpala67 Those vanillas look amazing.

Can't remember what my SOTD was as it's disappeared and was from the tester stash so obviously unmemorable.
Talking of holiday scents a weird thing happened... got back from holiday yesterday and when unpacking my case there was a travel bottle of perfume in it which most definitely wasn't mine! My bag was left at the hotel for a few hours and also checked in at the airport so it must've been slipped in at one of those places. Lucky it was just perfume

Sorry for disappearing for so long. I went on holiday at the end of May and when I came back I got made redundant out of the blue! It will work out for the best I think but has made for a hectic few weeks.

I haven't abandoned my perfume though . I worked my way through some Ormonde Jayne samples on holiday. Since I got back I have been working through my sample sets from LJR, Cochine and Karen Timson. They are all lovely and the Cochine scents are all "tropical" so perfect for this time of year.

I have been doing some more purchasing too! Sample sets from Maison Crivelli and To The Fairest are on their way. I also took advantage of the 4160T 3 for 2 and chose Dancing with Strangers, Crikey Caramel and Court of Ravens. I also rebought Elie Saab Le Parfum. I almost never use up/re-buy as I have so much to choose from so this is one I really love!

Sotd is Heaven Is from The Bath House. A lovely citrus with notes of lily, ginger and cardamom. I really love Bath House perfumes. They are very under-rated.

Sorry to hear about the redundancy @musicmum75 but good to hear you haven’t lost your perfume mojo! What a lovely lot of samples, hope you found some good ones in there. How did you get on the Ormonde Jaynes? I really want to try some from them but haven’t got round to ordering a sample set yet.

SOTD is/was JM English Pear & Freesia but that has pretty much disappeared already so may beef it up with some Gallivant Tel Aviv for the afternoon.

I had an absolutely wonderful day yesterday (with the most delicious lunch😋) and am feeling very grateful and contented. On the presents front, I got fancy decaf coffee (Yay! I can drink coffee again😊) and tea, delicious foodie bits, some lovely clothes, and wonderful books to keep me busy, including something perfume related: the gorgeous Perfume Companion by @MissBattleaxe and Sarah Mc. Have read a sample on kindle (so know its amazing), but am looking forward to getting properly stuck in.

I love preparing for things (Christmas, holidays, special occasions, etc) @Chevyimpala67 I think I enjoy the preparations just as much as the events themselves.

Sorry to hear about the redundancy @musicmum75 Dancing with Strangers was one of my favourites from my 4160Ts samples. I wore it for my birthday yesterday as it is such a happy smell and just makes me smile. I even sprayed again for the night and I never normally reapply.

I've placed my order with 4160 Tuesdays, but as usual won't get it until my next visit to the UK - must book a flight! I've gone for Fluffy Lemon Top, Court of Ravens and taken a gamble on Oakmossery, chypre lover that I am. I also bought another sample set, one of the pick what you like ones.

@FestivelyScent I am chuffed to beans that you got The Perfume Companion! I hope you like it. I wrote the bits with SS after them and Sarah has SM after hers. Plus she wrote the intros and stuff. Very clever woman and a dream to work with. Happy belated birthday!
