Today I’m wfh. Going to keep trying the M&S beauty bag perfume (white coconut) to see if it grows on me. I don’t really like it at the moment as it’s very different to the scents I normally go for.

Sotd 4160tuesdays SSOTPE
Perfect for warm weather imo

Tried 2 new samples today:
1.Chloe nomade
I get no woody notes at all from this...its a fruity citrus to my nose. Disappointing.
2.Montale intense cafe
Horrible synthetic rose. I don't mind synthetic notes in perfume but this smells just nasty 🤢
Both scrubbers for me I'm afraid.

Argh the 3 for 2! I'm trying not to spend but it's so tempting. What would you pick? I'm thinking about Court of Ravens, Clouds and Freeway but not sure...

Freeway is very underrated imo

SOTD is sample H from the Escentual vetiver box. I think it might be hot couture by Givenchy but can't say it with any confidence. I'm quite looking forward to finding out what it is. It's a great summer scent and smells like nothing I've tried before (I'm a gourmand lover but inevitably get sick of the sweetness).

SOTD Chanel 19 Poudre, then SOTE Diorissimo because MIL brought round a lily of the valley plant earlier. I bedded it in this evening - god my hayfever is bad this year!

I'm soooo tempted by the 4160tuesdays offer but tbh I have all of theirs that I love already ❤️
They haven't released my favourites from the JJB (indeed have released the one I liked the least!)

Lily of the valley is just so delicate and pretty. Plus it smells heavenly too - am a tiny bit jealous @Judystilldreamsofhorses 😁

The 4160Ts 3for2 looks amazing (especially the most expensive one free!) but, of course, I bought my two favourites a couple of weeks ago. 😂

SOTD was Samsara. My very own personal powdery cloud for a sticky hospital visit. I'm sure they had the heating on in the clinic room! 🏥🔥🥵

What does everyone think about solid perfumes? I’m tempted to get a Jo Malone one. I love the peony and blush suede candle - is the perfume just as good, and does it last on the skin?

I can feel completely different about this fragrance on different days. I posted previously about how much I love it. Today I’m enjoying the top notes but not such a fan of the lingering musky scent.

@Mrcpy I'm like that with a lot of fragrances too. It's really weather driven for me. I tried Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin a few months ago in winter and didn't like it, tried it a few days ago on a hot day and it was much better (still not my favourite though). Anything citrus is definitely summer only for me and I actually prefer perfumes with less longevity when it's hot - I'd rather respray a lighter, fresher perfume more often than wear something with a really long dry down which gets a bit cloying.

SOTD is M&S Autograph Riviera Neroli. Very good for the price.

Hi everyone

Well I've been having a perfume purge as I'm running out of room in my perfume drawer. Out are the following:

Escada - big pink heart, can't remember the name. I think these generic fruity perfumes are called pink mingers on this thread? They are not for me. What is a scrubber, if you don't mind me asking?!

Boss - the one that smells like chocolate oranges. It's a no from me, smells strange on the skin.

Black opium, coffee break and Tom Ford soleil blanc have been used up and disposed of (wearing coffee break as my sotd for the final time!).

Am tempted by the 4160 3 for 2 deal!! Haven't tried those yet...

A scrubber means you apply it, sniff it hate it and scrub it off 🙂

Pink minger applies to all fruity sweet candy type perfumes in pink bottles (think Britney spears, ariane grande, prada candy etc*)

I've just ordered samples of byredo valve d afrique and gypsy water. Hope I like them more than the last 2 samples I tried!

*obviously they are the trend in perfume atm and many people like them
