If you like boots with dresses, what shoes do you wear in summer

I'm starting back at work in an office, I need to look worky but it's a fairly casual place. Ive tried to buy a capsule type wardrobe, or at least most things co-ordinate well together. I'd love a pair of shoes to wear with both dresses and trousers on warmer days that also wont look ridiculous on the not so warm days, ie not sandals! I like ballet pumps but find they dont offer much support, Im not fussed by the trainers with dresses look and I dont think loafers are really my thing. I do love a good chunky boot for cooler days but am struggling for ideas for the summer - anyone have any ideas? Or is this an impossible ask?!

The best solution I ever found to this was these Also shoes. I can't find them now. Aldo do have similar at the moment but I personally don't like them as much.

I adore my tan suede pair but I can't find anywhere to get them reheeled.

It's a nightmare in my experience. I also have to wear orthotics, wide fit with the top of me feet covered but not restricted. Vanishingly few things that fit these criteria and are not trainers or sandals, which I'm not allowed at work.

Aldo styles Orsoniflex and Veadith are similar although with squarish toes which I'm not keen on.
My phone's being a bugger about doing links sorry.

I'm amazed at how many people keep saying trainers / sandals when the OP has said she needs shoes.

These are shoes, but they have an open middle and lots of decorative holey bits for air flow (dunno what they're called?).

I've some flat Mary Jane type shoes from Clarks that work with both trousers and dresses, bit more support than ballet flats.

Must you give up on boots quite yet? There are lots of nude or tan shades of boots out there at the moment. They do look better with the floaty tiered type dresses at the moment admittedly than they would with traditional tailoring. I'm currently wearing a Zara beigey pair with longer floaty skirts. Apart from that I'm afraid it is ballet pumps. Sometimes Clarks have comfy ones . In clumpy ones; not as pretty as LK Bennett or French sole, but much comfier.

Sling backs? Can look smart/casual depending on what you wear with them, whilst keeping your feet cool

I've just bought these to wear at work during the summer.

Trainers. Either a nice running shoe type or a low profile.
