I bloody love dungarees and treated myself to these yesterday from joules.
I’m 5’7 and size 14.
Are these dungarees too short?? Do I look ridiculous? They are so comfy and I love them… but equally don’t want to look terrible!

Nope you look ace.

FartNRoses · 06/04/2022 14:21

Love them!

FetchezLaVache · 06/04/2022 14:22

No, you really suit them!

ArtVandalay · 06/04/2022 14:26

Wouldn’t be for me but I don’t think they’re too short.

ArabeI · 06/04/2022 14:34

I like them!

MrsZzz · 06/04/2022 14:35

Definitely not too short. They’ll be great with trainers showing a bit of ankle (when it’s warm enough again).

Frillyfruli · 06/04/2022 14:35

I wear a lot of dungarees - these are a really good fit, you look fab!

skybluee · 06/04/2022 14:53

Agree they'd look good with trainers and no socks in the summer.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 06/04/2022 14:55

I'd actually roll them up a bit more and wear trainers with no socks.

thecurtainsofdestiny · 06/04/2022 14:57

They look great! I wish I suited dungarees but I end up looking like a toddler.

You look amazing in them!

Patchbatch · 06/04/2022 14:58

No they look great, I couldn't pull them off but you do.

Maybeitstimeforachange · 06/04/2022 15:00

I think they look great 👍🏼

iRun2eatCake · 06/04/2022 15:03

I don't like the boots with pink laces with them as it reminds me of a clown.

Trainers definitely

microbius · 06/04/2022 15:04

I would go for wider leg and looser fit

TheRealHousewife · 06/04/2022 15:06

Love them! I’d wear them and I’m nearly 60. I’ve got some fabulous grey jelly glitter doc Martin Mary Janes that would go with those 😬

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 06/04/2022 15:07

I think they look fab on you!!

Nitgel · 06/04/2022 15:07

I'd look for a more straighter wider leg too, bit more loose

Taurus221 · 06/04/2022 15:19

They look so great!! They really suit you, great find Smile

Popopopo · 06/04/2022 15:23

I think they look great, the length is perfect for the boots!

CheeseMaiden · 06/04/2022 15:27

They look good! Definitely agree with other posters, they would look better with trainers and some ankle showing- it makes the shorter leg length look more intentional.

moofolk · 06/04/2022 15:31

The thing with dungarees is that you can only wear them if you're happy in them.

This is why, whether you like their clothes or not, people in dungarees always look great. Because they're happy, comfy, and give zero fucks what other people think.

So ... wear them around the house and if you are happy then go outside. Everyone will tell you that tv you look like a kids TV presenter and you grin and say 'I KNOW! I love my dungarees, I'm so happy!'

I think you instinctively know if that's you or not. For years I hated dungarees but loved people who wear them. Now I wear them too. And smile.

Rights · 06/04/2022 15:31

I think you wear them well! My only reservation is the pockets (I don't like external stitching on pockets, but that's just my personal taste) but as an overall look I actually quite like them.

Doubleraspberry · 06/04/2022 15:32

I'm jealous. Dungarees are so comfortable and you're rocking those. I look pregnant in them so really can't wear them or I'll spend my whole life embarrassing people who want to know when I'm due.

moofolk · 06/04/2022 15:33

@CheeseMaiden

Disagree.

It's a look that you have to be happy in so whatever footwear you like (see my above post) although I do wear mine with trainers.

Also re length; let them out at the top of you want them longer. That's what the shoulder straps are for

trailrunner85 · 06/04/2022 15:36

I like dungarees but I don't think these work, as they're not quite baggy/relaxed enough.
It's not that they're too short, but with those boots they look unintentionally the wrong length. As pps said, perhaps teaming them with trainers rather than boots, would work better? Is it too late to size up, as well?
