So how does Jane Seymour look so good.

She's a stunningly beautiful woman who no doubt eats well and looks after herself and her skin.

She still looks incredible for 71.

So what might her real secret be? Not what she tells interviewers, but what she actually does. She seems to carefully say she wouldn't have surgery or fillers, but does that definition exclude Botox or other treatments?

Extremely jealous whatever the reason.

I think in untouched photos she looks her age.
A lot of it is genetic.
I am younger than her and mid 60s but often get taken for being in my early 40s. I 'blame' my mother who looks very young for her age, as does my DD.

SusieAndTheBannedShes · 01/04/2022 13:40

Oh and I've used a sun block on my face for over 30 years every single day after some treatment for a skin condition (not cosmetic treatment.)

BatshitCrazyWoman · 01/04/2022 13:43

I saw an interview with her where she admitted to an eye lift and breast augmentation.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 01/04/2022 13:46

Plus she was stunning to start with. I take hope from Helen Mirren, who occasionally looked like a bag of spanners in her younger days and grew into her beautiful face once she hit forty or so.

Cuck00soup · 01/04/2022 13:58

Sun block and good genes must help. But she looked so good on the One show the other day, that she must have had some sort of intervention surely?

Elizabeth I'm certainly** hoping to age well a la Helen M

Good god! Helen M was stunning in her younger days, although not afraid of taking on roles that uglified her.

As for the op, you can't do anything to look like another, beautiful woman. Beautiful people rarely have secrets, although they do get analysed and put under the microscope rather a lot, don't they?

I was 17 and lovely when I fist saw a film with Natassja Kinski in it. I was at the peak of health and youth, yet could not do anything to look more like her!

Gonnagetgoing · 01/04/2022 14:28

I think she's had help but kept quiet about some of it. She looks like she has a decent face structure which also helps. And a fringe helps too.

Just saw that her mum's side of family is from Deventer in Netherlands which I know is famous for having a copper kettle which was used for boiling forgers alive in hot oil. I've been there because we have family friends from nearby.

Very few people look 20 plus years younger than their actual age. Especially as you get older.

Gowithme · 01/04/2022 14:58

She is so beautiful in Live and Let Die.

MarshaBradyo · 01/04/2022 15:00

What pics are you looking at op?

I googled and agree with pp, untouched she looks her age

Still, pretty good

irishfeminist · 01/04/2022 15:04

Yes, I also didn't expect the 'Deventer in Netherlands' comment to take the turn it did Grin

I can’t think of one single celebrity who is 65 plus and looks early forties, not even Christie Brinkley, do you honestly, hand on heart think you look 40 when you are over 65?
lindyloo57 · 01/04/2022 16:23

She looks great, but I think when she was on the video call on the one show, she had a filter on, because when they were showing the film she was in she had a few more winkles, but she still looks far younger then 71 I wish I looked like that I'm 61.

Ooh, brave move! Are you braced for all the people who are going to tell you that of course you don't, no one does, and people who tell you that are just being polite? You do realise that on these threads no one is allowed to look younger than their age? If you're a celebrity you've had 'extensive work' if you're an ordinary woman you're 'deluded'. Good for you. I can knock off ten or so, but only in a dimly lit room.Grin

Claiming to look look 20 plus years in your 60's is quite an achievement.

AmberLynn1536 · 01/04/2022 17:09

Lots of people can look younger than their years probably by a maximum of 10 years, no one is disputing that, but we are talking a claim of 25 years younger here, no 65 year old looks 40, they just don’t.

Yeah I agree with this. I am mid 40s and always looked young for my age, but I’m thinking 5 years or so, definitely not 20+! I have known several people who look young for their age but never anyone in their mid 60s that looks my age. I think some people just kid themselves
EssexLioness · 01/04/2022 17:15

OP I agree Jane Seymour looks amazing. I’m not sure if she has had work done but I think she looks pretty natural. Several wrinkles etc but still youthful and glamourous for her age. I think her hair helps as it is beautiful and thick and dyed a flattering colour. She also obviously takes care of herself as I would kill for her figure and I am 25 years younger than her.

ImTheOnlyUpsyOne · 01/04/2022 17:18

Totally thought you were all talking about Jane McDonald till I googled Grin

I think it all gets a bit blurry after 40 tbh. A lot of 40 year old women can look very mature if they adopt certain hair styles and clothes, and have certain body shapes. I can easily imagine that a 60 year old with a youthful hairstyle, good figure and younger looking/casual dress style could look as young as a lot of 40s women. Maybe not under deep scrutiny, but certainly to a casual observer.
PandoraP · 01/04/2022 17:55

No one looks 20+ years younger than they are. 10 years younger perhaps. I can only think of one person I have met in real life who genuinely looked 15 years younger than her age. It’s not about looks, it’s something in the eyes too which gives your age away I think.

Mercurial123 · 01/04/2022 18:11

If you're 60 plus you don't have the skin of a 40 year old.

dumdumduuuummmmm · 01/04/2022 18:15

Agree with all the pp who question @SusieAndTheBannedShes assertion. I have never seen anyone look 20 years younger than they are. Not even supermodels or great Hollywood beauties. 10 years yes, I've seen many. But not 20.
