Queen Margrethe and sisters all dressed up for a gala ballet performance at Fred and Mary’s.

She doesn't usually get as much notice as her sisters, but I think that Princess Benedikte is a very elegant woman, and almost always looks quite stylish in an understated way.

Just catching up! That yellow outfit was a shocker!!!! Really looked like something Fergie would have worn back in the 80s.

@SenecaFallsRedux I agree. In fact Benedikte is usually my favourite of the three when it comes to style and fashion - Margrethe is a little too out there (although I certainly admire her willingness to have fun and indulge her penchant for interesting clothing) and Anne-Marie perhaps a bit too dull and predictable for my liking.

Mind you they all three do very well much of the time, really. Especially when they wear their ‘best.’

You're right, Seneca, Benedickte always looks good, less outre than Margarethe!
I like her evening dress here, great brooch and necklace, and of course a cracking tiara ❣️

Princess Benedikte is also TALL. So is Daisy but Benedikte was towering above even Fred and Christian at Daisy's jubilee (or was is birthday?) celebrations.

I love Benedickte's dress. My favourite blue colour. The dress is so elegant on her.
I'm a dumpy apple shape and admire the long and lithe.

I own a book called "The Queen's Diamonds" 😇 this is the back cover - the only thing is, in the book, it doesn't say what the necklace is...but I'd like it (unless someone else has bagged it first) to add to my airing cupboard.

I am not sure that the proportions of Max's outfit are quite right here. The skirt is too short for her height I think.

Leti always looks amazing in red and this is no different, though I'd have preferred a less high neck probably.

I've had my head turned today by the Oscars - good grief! But that's a whole other thread I guess. Some of the frocks and jewels were lovely though.

Leti looks fabulous as ever. My fave Max looks not so great here. I agree the length is a little off for her.

Flat shoes would have made Max’s dress ok, I think.

The skirt is too A line for Max. A straighter skirt suits her better imho.
