The bride's dress looks like a bit Old West saloon girl. And the guests weren't much better! It never ceases to amaze me how so many guests at upper class weddings dress so badly.

A goodly proportion of the female guests got the ugly nightie memo Confused. If that's fashion I'm happy to be unfashionable.
StartupRepair · 27/03/2022 21:42

Can't believe she married a prince and didn't get a tiara.

The MN style and beauty royal thread posters have snaffled them all. They are hidden away in airing cupboards next to hot princes.

Very true!

Woah Princess Claire usually looks amazing but that's a bad dress and earrings there! Her SIL is in a bad way too. The older princesses are v elegant though. Is that Marie-Astrid?
BornBlonde · 27/03/2022 22:26

Great thread title Smile

The yellow dress is just awful. Hope it doesn't get a re-wear. I also loathe the white shoes she wore. Definitely fails on the shoes on this trip

KillingMeDeftly · 27/03/2022 23:26

I thought the same about Claire @paradyning - I like her earrings but that's about it!

KillingMeDeftly · 27/03/2022 23:32

And Alexandra of Luxembourg is only 31! I didn't know who she was at first so assumed she was much older. No one of any age would look good in such a shapeless sack.

Meanwhile Martha Louise of Norway has made a CHOICE with her ensemble for the premier of the intriguingly-named film Long Flat Balls 3.

She's accompanied by her daughter, who looks like a cross between Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence, and is wearing a dress I'm sure I owned in 2002.

CliffsofMohair · 27/03/2022 23:42

I’ve had 3/4 of a bottle of Mother’s Day 🍷 & have found myself laughing uncontrollably at @KillingMeDeftly just now.

CliffsofMohair · 27/03/2022 23:48

Concur with @KillingMeDeftly’s analysis

Sad not to see my favourite Shamen though Derek

AdaColeman · 28/03/2022 01:40

Well, I don’t know quite what to say about that white tiered outfit. Inspired by those crinoline dolls that used to sit on top of the spare loo rolls in my Great Aunt’s bathroom was my first thought!
On the plus side, if you wanted to copy the outfit for yourself, (well somebody might want to) it would be very easy to run up, a four year old could do it. In fact it looks as though a four year old HAS done it!

Gooseysgirl · 28/03/2022 06:17

Re. the wedding... maybe all their luggage got lost in transit and they had to all go shopping locally at the last minute clutching at straws As for the bride... I'm speechless to be honest

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 28/03/2022 07:44

How many of the attendees at the wedding or the 2 at "long flat balls" looked in a mirror and thought "Wow, I look amazing" - and how many thought "Oh shit, too late to change it now"?
Frilly nighties is one thing, but a jumper over a too-long tutu...
🤣🤣🤦‍♀️

@Maireas don't forget to add those Emeralds to your airing cupboard. Smile

justasking111 · 28/03/2022 08:16

Has anyone seen the footage of William clutching his stomach and pulling a face. When I saw them trying street food I thought ummm that's not a great idea. A recipe for bellyache

Maireas · 28/03/2022 08:33

Some interesting looks at that Liechtenstein wedding. There's one very elegant couple, who I think are Arch Duchess Marie Astrid and her husband.
The Princess Martha Louise look? I always think that's probably a case of a stylist trying to make someone look "edgy", and missing the mark.

Anne-Marie’s Greek emerald tiara is mine! 🥰🥰 I am willing to share, especially in exchange for a pearl tiara/parure since I’ve not yet added that to my collection.

Queen Margrethe and sisters all dressed up for a gala ballet performance at Fred and Mary’s.

Nnique · 28/03/2022 09:24

Guess what...I like that Erdem dress! I would have worn in back in my very slim days. Not so much now...

MotherofPearl · 28/03/2022 10:06

That M-L outfit is really dreadful; so unflattering.

Maireas · 28/03/2022 10:22

The Glucksburg sisters look lovely! Anne Marie very elegant as usual, Daisy bringing the colour. I'm afraid that you will find that the emeralds belong to me, @Nnique my friend - although in the spirit of the Spreadsheet of Splendour, I am willing to share ❤️

OP posts:
Maireas · 28/03/2022 10:25

CORRECTION - according to the aforementioned Spreadsheet of Splendour, you are indeed the proud owner of AM''s emerald whatnots.
My emeralds have a different provenance. As you were.

Martha Louise certainly didn't get cold in the cinema.
