@hopeishere

It's a miss for me on this one from Meghan. Fits so badly. I like the detailing but that's about it. She must have a deal with Valentino as this is the second outfit she has worn from there.
There’s something almost matronly about the shape
MotherofPearl · 18/04/2022 10:13

I agree that the shift dress doesn't look right on Meghan at all. I think she generally looks best in separates.

KillingMeDeftly · 18/04/2022 10:20

Meghan's pre-engagement and early days as a royal ensembles were great - the leather skirt, McQueen trouser suit etc. I think she struggled a bit when pregnant and after having Archie as I definitely preferred the stuff from say, the Australia tour, to what she wore in SA.

Nnique · 18/04/2022 10:21

@paradyning Grin Grin that really made me laugh!

Oh dear the shift dress isn’t good at all.

Nnique · 18/04/2022 10:22

I love the pinstripe jacket!

gluenotsoup · 18/04/2022 11:10

Hello!! Hope everyone had a lovely Easter, I have missed you. Every time I try to catch up on what I’ve missed (loads) I get interrupted and have to start again, I finally made it🤯.
Too much to comment on really- I love the grasshopper dress, Kate’s blue headband (is it something I’ve seen on someone Scandi??), nice to see Leti in flats, she looks tiny without the heels. I agree that lots of Meghan’s invictus wardrobe is just a bit off - a lot of the fit is slightly too small, trousers too long, jackets too bulky, and I would prefer to have seen her look much more casual in easy flats etc that fitted the nature of the event, she somehow looks out of place in the smart heels etc. Also, she looks very different now, I think possibly too many fillers.
I like that Louise is trying to find her own style, the hat is too big for her. I don’t like Sophie’s dress much, it’s frumpy, and Zara needs a different neckline to tame her bosoms 😂

GrouchyKiwi · 18/04/2022 11:47

I wonder if Meghan's post-pregnancy shape is a bit different and she's still learning what works with it.

KillingMeDeftly · 18/04/2022 13:59

I don't think Meghan looks that different these days. Her face is slightly fuller but I'll put that down to carrying a little more weight post-baby. She doesn't have the over-filled look of say, Queen Rania.

gluenotsoup · 18/04/2022 18:34

I think she’s a bit heavier after babies, so am I, and a similar shape to her too. It’s a bit tricky to find your style when your shape changes a bit, I certainly make the mistake of thinking something that used to look good on me still will, so I’m not criticising, just noticing really. I think facially though Meghan looks very different to her wedding day. Her cheeks and lips are much fuller, and I expect she’s had fillers as lots do. She is and was beautiful, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing if she’s happy, but she does look different to me.

Maireas · 18/04/2022 18:44

Probably, @gluenotsoup - I think also we have to remember that Invictus is being filmed for Netflix, and I think she's got a bit more make-up on because of that, so less of a natural look than usual.

It’s nice to see the photos of Charlene too, I hope she’s on the mend. I like the platinum pixie.

Northernlurker · 18/04/2022 19:19

I think the shift dresses make her look too wide on the shoulders? It just doesn't look comfortable. The hair and make up is very pretty and she's been glowing but some of the fashion has not been her best. So boring colour wise as well.

Maireas · 18/04/2022 19:32

Nice that Charlene is back with her family, and I hope she's on the mend, too.
Any sightings of CPM? I didn't see her at church with Daisy and Columbo, sorry, Fred.....

KillingMeDeftly · 18/04/2022 19:37

@Maireas CPM was probably busy planning the celebrations for her 60th!

Maireas · 18/04/2022 19:40

😂😂😂😉

I did wonder if it was her at Windsor on Sunday, in the blue coat dress, holding Charlotte's hand😉

OP posts:
gluenotsoup · 18/04/2022 20:22

Hmm, so that’s why I got scandi vibes from the blue headband 😂

paradyning · 18/04/2022 20:48

CliffsofMohair · 18/04/2022 21:33

Grimaldi at fundraiser for Kyiv Circus School. Gabriella and Jacques seem so cared for by their aunts and cousins, it’s lovely to see.

Also, two tone denim is a look apparently.

gluenotsoup · 18/04/2022 21:36

Ooh, I’m not so sure about those jeans.. looks like she’s chopped a leg off 2 old pairs instead of whipping them off to the charity shop 😂

womaniswomaniswoman · 18/04/2022 22:00

That blocky shift dress shape looks particularly bad with short sleeves; I always think short sleeves are quite inelegant anyway. Not MM's best look!

Eaumyword · 18/04/2022 22:05

I agree, that short sleeve cream dress would have looked much more stylish and current with long sleeves and balanced her top section out as to be fair, Meghan has great legs!

KillingMeDeftly · 18/04/2022 22:16

The daughter on the left really looks like a young Stephanie but what to say about the one on the right? I don't know what's worse - the two-tone jeans or asymmetrical neon blazer!

Maireas · 18/04/2022 22:41

Two tone jeans and neon blazer? Mmmm......
As you day, CliffsofMohair, it's nice that the wee ones are taken out by aunties and cousins, they're obviously well cared for.
Good cause as well.

Daughter on the left (Camille Gottlieb?) has a look of Grace Kelly I think
