I agree about the Wimbledon shirt/jeans look @Maireas.
I think she nails casual dressing and this looks great. I like the ponytail too.
The blonde woman looks great too. She looks familiar - it's not Sunshine Sachs is it, their PR manager?

Choux · 16/04/2022 14:17

I think that's her second outfit of the day. Earlier she was all in camel / tan (is that the same coat that was wrapped around the baby yesterday?).

This tan outfit is fine but the polo looks tight across the bust and can't be bagged a little to hide the trouser fastener.

Actually, I don't like that look anywhere near as much as her casual jeans and short jacket look.
Her foundation looks orange and I don't think she suits her hair scraped back harshly like that. The ponytail was nice but I don't think she suits it all scraped off her face.
I think that camel coat would have looked good against a black top and trousers - too much camel going on there!

Maireas · 16/04/2022 14:24

This was the first Invictus look - I remember really liking the look and trying to find the shoes!
I like today's flats 😍

I don't like camel - I have similar colouring to Meghan and it makes me look washed out. Not sure it's that great on her either, though the lighting for that photo is a bit off. But colour blocking is also very on-trend.

SnottyLottie · 16/04/2022 14:52

I love the black blazer and she does look very chic there. Although there’s something slightly off about the outfit as a whole though and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I like everything separately though.

Not keen on what I can see of the camel outfit. The colour doesn’t suit her complexion and she’s looks a bit swamped in the jumper and blazer (might look better zoomed out).

Is it just me or does she look really orange in the face today? Not a fan of her scraped back so severely into a pony either.

I’m still in love with that outfit from her first Invictus Games 😍

SnottyLottie · 16/04/2022 14:55

*coat not blazer

I remember googling them too! And her bag. We probably discussed them here too
Serenster · 16/04/2022 17:18

I like the pieces of her Celine blazer and jeans look, but the cropped jacket is cutting her off at her widest point - I think she’s have looked just as casual chic, but less boxy if she’d gone for a longer line blazer which was cut to nip in at the waist.

The colour blocked camel outfit is perfectly nice, but a bit out of place for the formality of the event - I think the jeans were a better fit.

paradyning · 16/04/2022 17:24

I can't stop thinking about the logistics of wearing a white suit at such a high-profile event for her. Imagine if she sat down on something and then had to spend the rest of the day schmoozing.
It's a high risk strategy! More power to her!

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2022 17:50

I really like the casual outfit. Not at all a fan of the all-camel look.

gingercat02 · 16/04/2022 18:21

I'm a real Meghan fan but I agree with pp that she wears things because they are fashion forward not necessarily because they suit her. Also in their new "private citizen" life she may be paid to wear certain pieces. I'm glad to see her and Harry back out in public.

Serenster · 16/04/2022 18:51

I think she nailed it for the opening ceremony tonight - a 90s throwback of black trousers and a going-out top ( Grin ) but they are well-fitted and look great on her with a nice, casual updo and a Cartier necklace for some well-heeled edge (I assume she’s borrowing items like this, now she can?).

Maireas · 16/04/2022 18:58

She looks good, it's probably her own necklace, she has a few Cartier pieces. I like the neckline on her top.
I like Harry's suit, it's a nice colour on him and well cut.

Is that a tribute to Brenda and Kelly's infamous matching prom dresses in Beverley Hills 90210?? Grin

Serenster · 16/04/2022 19:09

Grin @KillingMeDeftly

The trousers are proper bootlegs too - thankfully not low-waisted, though!

KillingMeDeftly · 16/04/2022 19:24

I know bootlegs are back but I wore them solidly from about 2000 to 2006 and can't wear them again! And don't get me started on the cropped flare/bootleg...

Choux · 16/04/2022 19:34

The Daily Fail is reporting yesterday's white shoes were her wedding shoes. And she also wore her wedding earrings.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/04/2022 19:41

If you have to wear white stilettos then I think the detailing on these save them from being a bit Essex girl! IIRC they had aquamarine soles to match Diana's cocktail ring.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/04/2022 19:42

The soles were an aquamarine colour that is, not made of jewels!

Nnique · 16/04/2022 19:44

Yes they are great shoes. Stylish. Sharp. Same goes for Kate’s good pair that she wore on the tour. That was perfectly fine until the Essex pair was brought out of the trunk...More than once!! Angry

Serenster · 16/04/2022 19:44

Don’t shoot me… but I quite like those (I have never owned a pair of white heels in my life!).

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2022 19:45

Love tonight's outfit. 90s in a good way.

100problems · 16/04/2022 20:54

Love tonight's outfit. Really appropriate and stylish.
