Philip was dashingly handsome, no wonder Lilibet fell hook line & sinker for him!

I've long thought the same about the genetic lottery, CliffsofMohair, especially looking again at the engagement picture I posted earlier.
They were a very attractive couple.

Junot was such a dodgy playboy.

I think Caroline's parents were heartbroken when she went ahead and married Junot.

What you can't see there CliffsofMohair is that there is a whole troupe of them dressed like that, and the worried look on that chap's face is because there are custard pies in the offing!

I think the dress is beautiful, especially the square neckline, but agree about the darts.

Some of those guests have really embraced the 1980s fashion resurgence, which is not a good look, in my humble opinion, but fun to gaze at.

There's nothing like a Euro "royal" wedding for bringing out the zany dressers. At least they're not dull!

I think Caroline's parents were heartbroken when she went ahead and married Junot.

I remember my mum using it as a cautionary tale about listening to your parents and saying Grace and Rainier were dead against the marriage but Caroline didn't listen to them. No idea how my mum was so certain though!

I actually really like the bright colours and variety of cuts - interesting and refreshing compared to some of the British royal weddings. Didn't see a single coat dress + court shoes combo. The sunshine might be doing something too!

They like a wide-brimmed hat too.

Quite right, Susie. If I had my way coat dresses and high heeled court shoes would be banned.

Princess Anne jetted off to Australia to Open the Royal Easter Show. Lovely spring (is it autumn there?) colour but is that a coat-dress?

I think Anne's wearing an actual coat rather than a coat dress. She wore that same coat with darker green dress under it, and the hat, to Ascot several years ago.

Briefly de-lurking to say can I have that junot wedding tiara if it's not taken already please and (apologies if it's been mentioned before but) have you seen the interview Camilla did about the silver swans ballet classes? It popped up in my Facebook feed yesterday and made me laugh as she seems quite (brutally) honest and very down to earth, she also talks about how fit Charles is, I'll try to find a link

Not remotely royal but looking at the pics of the Beckham boy's wedding, and some of the outfits the guests are in are awful! Much like the Junot wedding, very much an example of money not buying taste. The glimpses of the brides dress look promising though, she wore Valentino

How is he old enough to get married, I remember when he was BORN!!

Victoria is very chic now but my word she must die when she sees old photos. Then again she does come across in interviews as having a sense of humour so maybe not!
