Please be honest Is my belly huge? Do I look like a frog with big upper and skinny legs?

And yes I'm not wearing a bra - my choice

The new bra makes no difference under the shirt. I mean maybe it does but you can’t see it.
Hoik those bad boys up!

EarringsandLipstick · 24/03/2022 17:12

I don't usually comment on these threads.

This particular one perplexes me.

OP, can't you see yourself whether (in your view) your tummy is big or not? Is it not easy to tell in terms of your clothes & what you see yourself?

If you are looking for ways to make the most of your figure, you've got good suggestions here, including a better, structured bra, wearing more fitted clothes eg like a t-shirt & wide-legged trousers, or a dress. The style of clothing you're wearing isn't flattering, and I think your body shape is really down to you to assess.

Goes to get the hula hoop out of the garage Blush

I am a similar height to you and until quite recently I was a similar build. A health scare 6 months ago made me reevaluate what I ate and so now I've lost a lot of weight.

To be brutally honest I do think you look overweight in the photos. The bra you are wearing isn't a good fit. You want something that lifts your boobs up. The way they are hanging over your stomach makes you look big from chest to groin.

As a formerly overweight, still busty, shortarse with good legs my tips to disguise a round stomach include a well fitted bra that hoiks them up. Slim cut jeans/trousers that show off your legs and support the belly and narrow cut but long tunic tops/sweaters that cover the stomach area. If you can only have one of those things the bra is the most important.

I have seen this poster post quite a few times and always with the same questions.

IvorCutler · 24/03/2022 18:57

Lol @RampantIvy I’m going to look for mine too!

ladydimitrescu · 24/03/2022 19:05

Some people on this thread are awful. Bloody hell.

clarepetal · 24/03/2022 19:13

@MushroomHunter

Omg this thread is harsh AF!

You look fine and perfectly normal. I am gobsmacked people are so judgemental (even if she she’s asked the question)

This a thousand times. You look fine to me, you do not look like a frog!! That's a crazy thing to say! Find your favourite feature, be it your hair, legs, or lips and accentuate that if you feel down on yourself, but even if you have posted the same question before please don't beat yourself up. You look fine to me.
sqirrelfriends · 24/03/2022 19:14

You look fine OP, your stomach looks perfectly normal.

marypoppins2022 · 25/03/2022 19:42

Pic of me today in a more fitted outfit. Opinions welcomed

Certainly from the front, that dress really suits you! It nips you in at what is probably a narrow point for you (it is for me) and provides definition between your bust and your stomach and the skirt width balances nicely with your shoulders to suggest an hourglass shape.

I love empire lines.

OP stop. Scribbling out your face and that of your dc is not going to disguise you from anyone who knows you. Anyone who knows you well would recognise the inside of your house and anyone who sees you regularly out and about will recognise you from the buggy and your clothes and hair. It could just be me who notices things like that though 🤷🏼‍♀️ My point being that you are posting a lot of identifying things and that is never a good thing on here.

The dress looks great btw!

AlternativelyWired · 25/03/2022 20:11

Plus you have your camera roll visible with lots of different photos of several people including your dc so you are completely identifiable now. I'd ask for this thread to be deleted and stop posting photos of yourself for people to comment on.

Kanaloa · 25/03/2022 20:13

There’s nothing wrong with how you look but i think there might be something wrong with how you’re thinking about how you look.

Posting loads of pictures of yourself on an online forum and trying to get validated online like that isn’t healthy. Maybe ask some people in your real life or speak to someone - nobody on mumsnet is going to make you feel right with yourself.

TabithaTittlemouse · 25/03/2022 20:17

The dress is much better.

TabithaTittlemouse · 25/03/2022 20:17

It might be worth trying yoga for your posture too.

This ^

I'm sorry OP but I do think you need to seek help here. I know that will probably be read in the wrong way, I'm not being goady I genuinely think you need to speak to someone about your body image. The potential for this to spiral further is huge.

ididntevennotice · 25/03/2022 20:20

Also I have reported your latest picture, your camera roll is visible at the bottom

PlacidPenelope · 25/03/2022 20:26

marypoppins2022 picture of you in the more fitted outfit/dress is far more flattering, you look good, it suits you. The baggy shirts and leggings don't do you any favours at all and imo highlight the very things you are trying to hide/are self conscious of.

I can't see a pic?
User76745333 · 25/03/2022 20:39

Wtf why was I deleted?!

The op asked for opinions. I said she could do with losing some weight, she needs a bra and her clothes aren’t flattering.

Are we only allowed to fib now and say she looks lovely? Clearly it’s what she’s looking for but it isn’t the reality of the situation.

RampantIvy · 25/03/2022 20:40

I can't see a picture either. I'm on my kindle.

RampantIvy · 25/03/2022 20:47

Or on my phone
