Is my belly huge

Please be honest Is my belly huge? Do I look like a frog with big upper and skinny legs?

And yes I'm not wearing a bra - my choice

Is my belly huge

It looks bigger than it actually is because you don't wear a bra. Your breasts sit too low and sort of merge with your stomach so it looks like you have a huge muffin top when actually you don't.

Even a pullover, unwired bra would lift and define them a little and solve the problem.

marypoppins2022 · 22/03/2022 10:54

Thanks to the nice helpful replies. I'll invest in a bra. Any suggestions for a good place to get measured and buy a bra that won't cost the earth

You look fine to me. Your tummy isn't flat and there is weight there but you don't look obese. Not sure what your aim is with asking the question. Do you want your tummy to appear flatter. If that is the case, don't wear trousers that are too tight as the pics above. Support for breasts can also give the illusion of a flatter tummy also some shape in the tops you wear.
Your figure is not awful. Could your tummy appear flatter with good choice clothes, absolutely. The question is, what is more important to you? The appearance of your tummy or your comfort in clothes you choose? Only you can decide that.

I am talking from experience. My tummy is in no way flat. I am a bit overweight (Slowly losing) however when I changed what clothes I wore people were saying I had lost weight (at this point I hadn't)

marypoppins2022 · 22/03/2022 10:56

I'm in south london so maybe a bra place round here? I used to go m&s but have heard they aren't good nowadays although I could be wrong

@Idroppedthescrewinthetuna I think the pink oversized shirt deffo helps to disguise. Would you agree?

You can't see your tummy. But I don't like oversized tshirts as I see past them really. Same as heavily printed tops.
I like layers to disguise my tummy. A tighter top with a looser cardy/suit jacket over the top.
I will say a well fitted bra will definitely help you. Just something to lift them away from tummy.

Now the important question is not what others think over the internet, what do you feel. How do you want to look? What style do you like? Do you wear baggy tshirts because you like them or because you feel like they hide you?

marypoppins2022 · 22/03/2022 11:05

I like the baggy T-shirts yes I've had so many compliments about that pink one but it's also a bit of hiding too. I am trying to lose weight tho. I've heard trampolining is very good and I love a good bounce so might try that

Any idea where is good in south london to get measured properly for a bra

Hi. My first honest thought after looking at the photos is no (no your belly is most definitely not huge! ) as another poster said, you look normal. There's nothing huge about you! Please don't waste anymore time worrying about an issue that isn't there!

Which part of South London are you in?

If you're near Sydenham/Forest Hill then:-

thefittingstudio.business.site/

and also in Bromley:-

nhmlingerie.co.uk/

are both independent bra shops and I've been to both

Gonnagetgoing · 22/03/2022 11:16

East Dulwich

www.bloomerslingerie.net/contact

www.ldnfashion.com/features/bra-fitting-london/

If you must go to a department store, go to John Lewis.

Gonnagetgoing · 22/03/2022 11:17

I can't believe you don't wear a bra though, why not?!

Notanotherwindow · 22/03/2022 11:20

I hate wearing bras, they're so uncomfortable but I got a pullover unwired one from asda that is so comfy but surprisingly supportive and it has a lace overlay so it's pretty too.

TabithaTittlemouse · 22/03/2022 11:25

The whole outfit does nothing for you.

VerityPJohnson · 22/03/2022 12:36

In terms of looking like a frog, you have broad shoulders relative to your legs. This is what makes you look out of proportion more than the belly. Wearing skinny things on the bottom and shapeless on top accentuates this. If you want to improve your appearance I’d be trying to balance these out. Bootcuts are in fashion now, perfect for an inverted triangle. Square neck tops also good.

But you can’t have it all ways. A bra is obviously going to improve things but you say it’s your choice to not wear one. That is absolutely your choice but you can’t then really be worrying about what you look like.

Leftbutcameback · 22/03/2022 13:06

Would agree with what @VerityPJohnson says. I think that the leggings with an oversized top doesn’t flatter a lot of people (me included)

trailrunner85 · 22/03/2022 14:22

You don't look like a frog. You do look chubby, untoned and unfit, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to most of the population.

Nothing a good bra, healthy eating and some decent exercise couldn't sort out.

OddSocksSparklyDocsandDungaree · 22/03/2022 14:22

@marypoppins2022 Referring to your recommendations for a bra place, BraStop have been amazing! :)

HollowTalk · 22/03/2022 14:44

Please don't go on a trampoline without a bra on!

M&s bras are fine. Its their measuring that you should avoid.
doadeer · 22/03/2022 17:51

It's hard to tell on the pics as they are quite dark. It looks to be like you are a bit round to be honest. I'd work on core exercises and engaging your abdominals more. Strong core is important for overall health.

Also agree with wearing a bra, as on the pics the gap between your breasts and stomach looks very small. Are you quite a petite woman? I'm tall so maybe I'm just thinking of myself

I honestly cannot believe people on this thread saying that op is chubby, untoned and needs to lose weight

There is not a thing wrong with her. If you want to give people a complex about their weight or shape and trigger an eating disorder then carry on the way you're all going!!!

You should be ashamed of yourselves. Engage your brains for goodness sake!
