Opinions on this dress please?

Hello, I bought this Ghost dress on Vinted to wear to a wedding. I've not worn a dress for a few years, and I've put on a bit of weight (and had two children) - and I just don't know what suits me any more.

I'm a size 12/14 and 5ft11. The dress is a large, do you think it's too big? It was a bargain, and I do love the fabric so I was considering having it taken in. Do you think that would work? Or is the shape just wrong?

Thanks guys, I think the consensus is the first dress is nice enough but nothing special. I'm going to get it taken in a bit and wear it with trainers or sandals in the summer.

I've tried on a few more things and a slightly bonkers jumpsuit from tk maxx seems to be the most popular! I'll try it with decent shoes etc, but I think I'm leaning towards that one if I'm brave enough.

I think the jumpsuit looks great on you & I think the colours are fabulous. I think the other dresses are nice but for a wedding I think the jumpsuit would be lovely & I think given its glamour you could wear flat heels with it if that suited you & a nice little bag.

There’s nothing remotely bonkers about that jumpsuit. It’s dressy and stylish.

Not until May, sorry! I got a bit over excited , it's been so long since I've been to a wedding! I'll remember to check back in with a photo though.

You look great in the jumpsuit! Pair of heels and it will be perfect! Go for it!

@JofraArchersFastestBall could you post a link to the black dress you posted please? It's just the right shape for me and I want to inspect it further. Looks good on you but not formal enough for a wedding.

Last season, sorry, but there are some on eBay. This one came from Vinted for about £6! It's nicely cut - and the pattern/colour seem to really disguise lumps and bumps!

My one doesn't - but it's a 10 and I'm a 12, so it's a bit of a squeeze all over! If you get your proper size I think there would be room for a more ample chest.

OP you look utterly amazing in the jumpsuit - and that’s with no shoes or accessories even! You owe your sister!
