I’m a 40 ye old slightly overweight woman. No, my name isn’t Karen.
I work in retail, so don’t have to think about a professional style.
I’ve always wanted to get my hair cut short, and really like this. What do you think?

I love it !

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 02/03/2022 18:04

I'd love to have my hair like that - my DH on the other hand likes my hair long!

N0va · 02/03/2022 18:04

I love it, although at 23 and 4m pp it wouldn't suit my round face 🤣

HollowTalk · 02/03/2022 18:04

I love it, but what on earth is written on her neck?

SallyWD · 02/03/2022 18:04

I love it too!

THisbackwithavengeance · 02/03/2022 18:04

Love it as well.

Aquamarine1029 · 02/03/2022 18:05

God no, sorry.

Hmm

I've got something similar, it's easy to maintain, buy some root lift powder, vo5 do a good one, put it on your roots for extra lift

Bookaholic73 · 02/03/2022 18:39

Thanks for the feedback.

I’d definitely need a good root lift powder, as I have quite fine hair.

I’ve rarely seen this haircut look nice on anyone other the photos on Pinterest/Instagram where it’s styled to perfection.
My best friend had it but wore it with a big quiff at the front most days.

girlabouthome · 02/03/2022 18:48

I agree, having had this haircut and similar over the years it is not low maintenance.

Obviously tying it up is out of the question and unless styled with body it can look rather drab

DedalusBloom · 02/03/2022 18:51

I love it but I do think it needs to look "styled" all the time otherwise it's just going to flop into a neither here nor there tucked behind the ears short bob.

Your hair will not work with this style.
LizDoingTheCanCan · 02/03/2022 18:55

It's a graduated bob with some root boost and the fringe styled forward. Perfectly fine for fine hair.

LizDoingTheCanCan · 02/03/2022 18:56

You don't even need a lot of product, the key is a good blow dry with a barrel brush.

Mintlegs · 02/03/2022 18:57

It’s really nice. If you have a natural wave to your hair I would imagine it’s easier to style

It will need daily styling and regular cuts to look nice but if you are happy with that then why not?

HeadPain · 02/03/2022 18:59

I'm going to say no

Agree with the difficult to style comments I'm afraid. I have had variations of this cut loads of times and because my hair is soft and fine it collapses into a Blackadder I mediaeval bowl cut the minute I leave the salon. You need thick hair and loads of it for this to work!

Phyllis321 · 02/03/2022 19:09

Please can we not use Karen negatively.

MrsMigginsCat · 02/03/2022 19:10

I had something similar to this done after lockdown last year although I've let it grow a bit longer at the sides now. I also have fine hair. The back is shaped and layered and even with my fine barnet, I don't have a problem getting it to keep its shape. Apparently though I have a rounded head at the back which helps according to my hairdresser! I find it much easier to look after than when I had a one length bob which did used to look limp and shapeless with no intervention.

I say go for it OP. It's hair, and it'll grow back!

MyBottleOfRibena · 02/03/2022 19:11

My OH thought that too, until I cut my hair really short and now he prefers it short.

Any way, if you want short hair, don’t let him stop you, it’s your hair 🙂
