@Sgtmajormummy I've just googled Bridge bags and realised what I'm missing! They're beautiful.

I've also dug out some of my old bags since this thread. Just in time for Spring. The Chloe Drew bag is waiting to be taken out and about again before coat weather disappears - the weight makes the chain dig into my shoulder otherwise.

I also bought a new fabric strap on eBay for my Prada camera bag to change things up a bit.

Also googled The Bridge bags and agree they look lovely. Might need to treat myself.

Am on the look out for a new tote and am considering the Jimmy Choo nine2five rather than the Mulberry bays tote, similar price. Has anyone had Jimmy Choo bags? Whats the leather like? (Will mean a special trip to go see a Jimmy Choo one in the flesh and won't bother if they are known for being a bit shit)

I think older The Bridge bags are better quality than the new stuff they’re producing, so if you find something on a second hand site it’ll be a bargain!

I'm not really a £1000 bag person and don't have the lifestyle for one but if I were I would be really tempted by this vintage Chanel from the website another poster linked to.

Neutral colour, practical size and classic Chanel.

It's within budget too. I wouldn't be bothered by the fact that it is in used condition - indeed that would make it more appealing but I appreciate that isn't the case for everyone.

I have my eyes on these two:

Dolce & Gabbana Medium Sicily Bag

Acne Studios Musubi Bag

I also agree on Bayswater - I have one in Azure, and it's a very high quality bag in a stunning colour, but it is heavy as hell, and for me it does not work well as a 'work bag' when I have to travel a lot between meetings.

@MargosKaftan I have a large Jimmy Choo suede hobo bag from centuries ago and I never used it as it was just so heavy even before I put anything in it. I guess any large leather bag would be on the weighty side, so just something to consider.

Also I spent a fortune on it only to find it's barely worth £50 today on eBay so I'm not even bothering to sell it on. It will just sit there. As a bag brand Jimmy Choo is a bit on the obscure side. It's more known for its heels. There are plenty of nearly new jimmy Choo bags on eBay if you're interested though.

@LiberteEgaliteBeyonce don't you find Vestiare a bit upsetting now you have to pay such vast amounts in duty. I do still succumb but I never manage to fall in love with the products in the UK

@margoskaftan Coach have some lovely totes, much lighter than Mulbs too.

I actually filter the bags by location so I avoid those coming from places where I'd have to pay tax. Luckily (or not) there is always plenty I like!
