Sorry to hear about the illnesses all around - I always find spring somehow exhausting even though it should be rejuvenating!

Heating is off in the office so I've wrapped myself into a really warm big cardigan from Lindex. Dress is from Joules and it's probably my go-to work dress if I'm feeling lazy

Bought these Toast trousers from a charity shop (excuse the public loo photo!) very slightly too small but I am on a diet so hopefully they will fit soon, if not they can go on Vinted or back to charity . Love the high waist and they are super soft fabric

I bought a lovely pleated skirt from Sainsbury’s. Sadly I need to learn pleated skirts are not for me as they just highlight every lump and bump. So back that goes.

I'm on my way into London.Wearing leggings and a vest top under a(nother £20 Hush dress) so I can whip the dress off and try stuff on in the hall.Got on the train with several woman dressed similarly to me so I think it's going to be busy.Dress is chiffon and tiered.Wouldn't have bought it if I saw in online but I think I will wear it lots.Leather jacket Zara sale years ago.

@Chrispackhamspoodle ooh have fun! I used to love sample sales. Kind of slept but not refreshed at all. It’s all just so worrying and DD is no better. DH and I are at each other’s throats as he wants ‘something done’ but there’s nothing anyone can do. We live too far from any decent medical care really. Another reason why I hate rural life!

Enjoy the me+em sale! I decided that a half day off was worth more than the sample sale, even though I am not too far from it. All I really want is a few casual trousers and it didn't seem worth it to take a half day off for it. I bet you'll find lots of good stuff though

But I am wearing my new me+em top. I got the blue rubber one too but I think it's going back - it makes me shoulders look enormous!

I’ve been to a few many many years ago - I think a Reiss one - but they were a bit rubbish

Sounds like it was carnage at the Me+Em sample sale just read the reviews and lots of people commenting along these lines, glad I didn't go.

I'm on my way home.Queued for almost an hour to get in and I arrived at 9.50am.Picked up a beautiful black dress ,white frilled shirt and tailored trousers...then realised there was an hours queue to pay and I was meeting a friend for lunch.SO I handed it to someone else to have and left.Didn't really need any of it enough to stand my friend up for. Would have been OK if they had organised the tills .I think if you had queued from 8am it would have been OK but who wants to do that? I'll stick to the Hush one in the future.Anyway had a lovely lunch and wander round Kings Cross.Shame about the trousers though.

It wasn't unsafe though.Met nice people in the queue and inside.Didn't experience any rudeness or grabbing. Felt sorry for the staff as the tills had obviously gone wrong hence the long wait to buy.Queue was insane though and they should have told people behind us to go home.

@Chrispackhamspoodle I went too! I decided against a mega early start and chanced my luck arriving at 12 ish. Joined the queue and got chatting to some very nice women. But then people starting coming out saying there was nothing left and it wasn't worth it. Staff were apologetic and said they would look at better ways or organising it next time. Some of my fellow queue-ers decided to leave, I thought I'd hang on to have a look. By the time I got in there were many empty boxes! And the queues for the tills were still really long. So left empty handed. What a waste of a day!
