We popped to take something back today and I tried the superdry jacket on. I like it but it was too boxy and to be honest I think too warm for spring!

Today, Levi’s, T-shirt Oliver Bonas, jumper mint velvet and cons.

@Softpebbles 5-6° - the coldest I've ever swam in! It was a bit scary today as a woman who wasn't swimming with us but getting changed next to us collapsed with after-drop. Another reminder to be so careful and know your limits. The air temp was actually quite mild this morning as well.

Lots of lovely outfits today - @toastfiend do you get your Cos trousers taken up? I love them. I'm only 5'4" though so would be worried they'd be super long.

@Softpebbles was it you on the last thread looking at green quilted jackets? I ordered this one last week from M&S - it's lovely but not a great fit on me...but might be worth you investigating??

It's been a glorious day here today - sunny all day and circa 10 degrees. All snow successfully melted and my ankles have been out to celebrate!!

@WestrayWife I haven't had to have them taken up, no. I actually find they're more of a normal person length than most other stores. I'm 5'6 and all of my Cos trousers have been a perfect length, my check wide leg ones I actually wouldn't mind an extra inch of length on, so I'd say they're pretty spot on compared to, say, Zara, where I always end up with about 2ft of additional fabric covering my feet.

These lighter coloured Next jeans are going they don't have any stretch and are uncomfortable when I sit down they are fine after a few wears but as soon as I wash them the cycle starts again.

Snapped a very quick picture before venturing out in the wind to take DS to nursery. Not super worth photographing as I'm pretty casual today. I swear the weather yesterday and today has been rougher than when we were in a red warning area for Storm Eunice on Friday! Very unusually for me I'm wearing a hat - my hair never grew back properly after DS was born (3 years ago!), hence I have loads of wispy bits around my face. They're particularly bad at the moment and drive me pots in the wind as they're too short to tie back and always flying into my eyes or mouth so a hat is the only way to keep them under control! I don't think I'm cool enough to carry it off with any aplomb, but it did stop me from wildly clawing hair out of my eyes every 30 seconds whilst growing increasingly frustrated, so that's something.

Half term here, wfh this morning now about to take DC out for some fresh air and a run around on the beach. Maybe a hot chocolate if they behave themselves and don't bicker (unlikely).
Nothing special from me, a bright jumper from Joules which does inject a bit of colour, levi's, trusty H&M boots (comfy and practical, basically like wearing wellies) and Hush coat. I will stick a bobble hat over my very chaotic hair when we go out.

The Hush coat looks great @EllaPaella.Also impressed with your swimming.I'm going to give it a go at some lakes near me when they reopen for swimmers in May.

@WestrayWife I keep adding things to an online M&S shopping basket and I tempted by the coat you linked.

@Chrispackhamspoodle it's a nice coat - but I'm a bit of a triangle at the moment so the fit wasn't great for me. I got the small and the quilted layer was tight around my hips/thighs whereas the top section was insanely baggy and hanging off my shoulders. So back it goes. I think if you're relatively tall and straight it would be great though. I was gutted - when I saw it online I thought it was "coat of dreams" territory!

I'm already in PJs but had an old purple knitted dress from Fat Face on earlier with tights and boots - the weather is just skunnering at the moment. After a nice day yesterday it's been horrid again today. I want sun and warmth!!
