My friend and I got to the Me+Em sale at 10.45 as had to drop DS off at nursery before the train and we were waaaaay too late! Queued for about half an hour and then someone came down the line and told us not to bother as there was barely any stock left. Bit disappointing but glad they did if they had the problems with the tills as well as we wouldn't have had time to wait. We did pop into their shop down the road but I was actually a bit underwhelmed and that was heaving too as I think everyone who left the queue had the same idea. Had a great day anyway as we hit up some other shops instead and I got a few nice things, including a bright green suit from Zara, so it wasn't a waste of time, and it was so great to see my bestie.

And a shout out to this M&S bag - £8 in the sale and its so light and comfy to carry and fits an amazing amount for such a small bag - currently got a water bottle, book, phone, cards, cinnamon bun(!), lipstick and hand sanitiser in it and it's still closing easily- it's like a Mary Poppins bag!

Thanks so much for your comments re the M&S jacket, too - I took it back in the end. I did like it, but I didn't love it and I think @Softpebbles and @OublietteBravo nailed it that the colour wasn't quite right. I would have loved it in a bright green or cobalt blue, I think, the greige wasn't quite right on me.

I think they said prices were between £10-£60, so I think pretty heavily!

I think there were a few of you today at the Me&Em sample sale. Shame you didn't all have a mumsnetters meet up!

You look lovely @toastfiend - great jacket. Not a very exciting outfit from me but I've just been at uni. Had another super busy week so far, so much going on at the moment so I'm planning in an early night and to watch 'Our House' on catch up.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I al having a fairly quiet one, eldest ds is still here buy going back to uni tomorrow. I've been taxi service for his multiple nights out so he is doing the same for me tonight - out for tea and a few drinks this evening early doors. All very casual so I will be wearing this again;

How is your DD now @Sooverthemill? Sorry to hear that she's been so poorly - I'm always in awe of how great you look even when you must be shattered.

No outfit from me today - I've been for a 10 mile walk with my DM so was just in leggings and a jumper. Had a lovely time but it was super hilly and my legs are feeling it now!

Hope those who went to the Me+Em sale had a good time anyway - I headed to Zara and got this green suit so I was pretty happy with the outcome in the end, but it is a shame that it wasn't organised better, especially as it sounds like this has happened at their sales previously.
