Things I've applied to my face tonight

Fritilleries · 19/02/2022 20:25

Cerave Salicylic Acid Smoothing cleanser (2 applications buffed each time with a warm flannel)
Followed by Superdrug's overnight glycolic Acid peel mask and slathered with a thick layer of Astral which I've seen mentioned on here a lot.

I'll look like I've lost at least decade, right? (35 irl)

What have you applied in hopeful anticipation? Brew

Hehe love it.

Estee Lauder Night Repair. It's going to repair at least 10 years of damage overnight right!

ACCx · 19/02/2022 20:41

For a month or so my skin got really dry and I hasn’t changed moisturiser ect but it just wouldn’t improve. Then someone at work (with great skin) said she uses Asdas own. I thought surely not! But bought some anyway, and I’m so impressed. It is my new go to :)

notliketheothersnotlikeanyone · 19/02/2022 20:42

Oh wow that’s a lot ! Hopefully it works !

If I did it I don’t think I’d have a face in the morning but I’m very sensitive !

Postdatedpandemic · 19/02/2022 20:46

Most of that is probably unnecessary but the Astral should save the day.
One acid is enough.

Fispi · 19/02/2022 21:17

Soap & Glory ultimelt cleanser (had make up on)
LRP retinol
Drop of oil because I like how it feels
Lip balm

Happierthanever91 · 19/02/2022 21:21

I LOVE this thread. I've got terrible skin at the minute (thank you pregnancy hormones) so I'm trying to save myself. I used nip+fab vitamin C brightening pads, Clearasil rapid action treatment cream and then Cervae hydrating moisturiser with hyaluronic acid. The improvement in the past few days has made me feel at least 65% less of a hag so I'm thrilled!

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 19/02/2022 21:23

Cleanser
Niacinamide
High dose retinol
Retinol eye cream
Hyaluronic serum

pawpaws2022 · 19/02/2022 21:26

Cleanser (deviant oil one)
Rapidlash
Skin and me
Moisturiser (can't remember which!)

Either that, or your face will be falling off tomorrow 😬
FizzyBizz · 19/02/2022 21:28

Cheap apricot face scrub in the bath tonight. I know it’s out of fashion, but sometimes I just need a good, grainy scrub.

Squalane (I think that’s what it is) from the Ordinary that promised it would fade an age spot on my cheek…but hasn’t (and the bottle is almost gone).

Cheap almond oil-based fave oil. Only use it occasionally when I can be arsed to give myself a face massage.

Hopefully I’ll wake up not looking any older than my age Grin.

We shall see! Grin

e.l.f holy hydration cleansing balm followed by Sukin foaming cleanser, Dermatica formula of 1% tret, 4% niacinamide and 15% azelaic,
Avene tolerance Emulsion.

Shmithecat2 · 19/02/2022 21:30

I will be doing -

1st cleanse - Juno balm
2nd cleanse - Trinny London gel cleanser
Curel essence
Facetheory Exaglow serum
Facetheory Rosehip oil.

Hapoydayz · 19/02/2022 21:31

A weird bubbling facemask that sounds like I've pup snap, crackle and pop on my face. Its black then white bubbles come out! Probably won't do anything but quite cool. Just a cheap one by simple.

TheresOnlyOneWay · 19/02/2022 21:33

@Shmithecat2
Ooh I want to try the trinny cleanser!

Livpool · 19/02/2022 21:36

Simple cleansing oil
Tesco cucumber cleanser
Nip Fab Dragon's Blood serum
Garnier Lavendin facial oil
Nivea creme

My skin is super dry and this is helping

I really like it! Bought it as a set with the BFF, a decent deal. I tried a sample of her balm cleanser, but I'm not fussed on it. I'll definitely be repurchasing the gel cleanser though. It's lovely. On a par with Oskia. And really gorgeous packaging.

frugalkitty · 19/02/2022 21:43

Cleansed with Elemis cleansing oil, spritzed Liz Earle skin tonic and then tapped a drop of Elemis marine oil round my eyes and smothered the rest of my face in Liz Earle cica paste.

ImFree2doasiwant · 19/02/2022 21:48

Ooh I can actually join in, I've done the full (on a budget) works tonight!

1st cleanser Sinple cleansing water
2nd The ordinary squalene cleanser.
Nip & Fab retinol eye fix
All by The Ordinary...
Hyaluronic acid
Niacinamide
Mandelic acid.
Natural moisturising factors

Chronicallymothering · 19/02/2022 21:56

Kate Somerville Retinol and vit C moisturiser. I’m alternating between that and a Kora AHA nighttime treatment.

Then some Oskia night balm on top.

Vulcanodon · 19/02/2022 21:59

LRP cleanser
LRP ciclaplast
.6% tret (skin and me, think it has azelaic acid and niacinamide too)
Lip balm

SocksAndTheCity · 19/02/2022 22:09

Take The Day Off balm (rinsed off in shower)
Good Genes glycolic serum
Pai rosehip oil
Wishful Honey Whip moisturiser (nearly run out Sad)
Blistex lip balm

Tomorrow it will be the Sunday Riley Luna oil rather than the 2nd/3rd Smile

thistimelastweek · 19/02/2022 22:16

Nothing.

I'm 65. And people tell me I have good skin.

I'm not saying there isn't a place for good skin care. But I do believe less is sometimes more.

Bottom line, just give your face a rest. All those products are just annoying it.

LadyNell · 19/02/2022 22:16

Cleansed with eve lom balm, warm flannel the another cleanse baby lotion then Transparent balancing peel toner then Nivea moisturiser, sometimes followed by Kiehls midnight recovery oil

LadyNell · 19/02/2022 22:17

And Carmex lip balm
