early 50's what are you wearing?

I am a M&S leggings fan, with Seasalt tunic and long line cardigan with any type of boots person at the moment.

I'm in a comfy winter phase of Lands End cords and merino or cashmere jumpers. All in luscious solid colours. And all bought in sales, or from charity shops pre-Covid, so I don't feel horrified by using them for everyday.

Same as in 30's and 40's! Jeans, ankle boots, jumper. Nice scarf and nice trendy winter jacket.

Sweaty Betty or fabletics leggings, Air max or Polo neck, pinafore, opaques and dms. I've got a few wooden dresses too also with opaques and dms. Jeans aren't my friend anymore.

Wide legged or boot cut jeans, with boots, trainers, or DMs. T-shirt, jumper and a biker jacket. My go to outfit.

Today:
dark slim flare jeans, black sweatshirt which I got embroidered with a design from a book, Paul Smith trainers, green faux fur coat

Tonight:
either an All Saints midi dress or a Whistles mini dress, with opaques and heeled ankle boots
or black side-stripe flared trousers with trainers and a silk top

Cotton tights and a Jumper dress

M&S jeans and a white hoody my son no longer wants

Today
Black extra wide legged jersey trousers
Fitted black top
Combat boots
Grey faux fur coat

Snap op. I'm in a joules tunic dress today with woolly tights though, similar look

Denim dungarees, Joules puff- sleeved yellow breton, Joules chunky ankle boots (new, I love them), big fluffy scarf, Seasalt Janelle (pouring here), cross-body bag.

Any suggestions for what I'm putting on tonight? Going clubbing, yes clubbing, with 2 best mates! Gok Wan is DJing (I was bought the ticket for my 50th). Was a big clubber back in the day but not for quite, some time!

I am a woollen dress/ polo neck/opaques and chunky boots for work, mostly leggings/hoody for weekend, and jeans/silk blouse/cashmere for going out. After years of having a very limited budget, I'm so happy to be able to spend a bit more on myself, shame I'm so old!

Over 50. Today I'm in baggy 80s style jeans rolled up, old battered red & white Adidas superstars, chucky fisherman's aran jumper. Coat big fake fur lined army green parka

Yesterday the same jeans with Joules striped black & White breton top and white Converse all Star high tops

Always wear silver bracelets that never come off and silver rings.

Tonight black skinny jeans, black flat chelsea boots and black jumper.

I've been dressing like this since I was a teenager!

I would describe my style as " polished loungewear",trousers from Me & Em or M&S ,to elevate the look the sweaters and scarfs are always cashmere and the accessories are premium (bags;Anya Hindmarch,Bamford,Coach,old Hermes),expensive watch and Monica Vinader jewellery.
I like fashion but I don't really follow trends.I buy with longevity in mind .I like to look polished and age appropriate.

Today a chocolate brown cord A-line midi skirt with raspberry pink jumper and brown knee-length boots. All from good ol' M&S!

Pair of ‘shabby chic’ dungas that probably make me look like I’m wearing rompers, but I couldn’t care less, crochet jumper underneath them, combat boots.

I'm wearing my usual 'non-uniform Winter uniform' (iyswim) - cashmere jumper, Jigsaw wool pencil skirt, opaque hold-ups (hate tights) and knee boots with a small heel. I have about a million cashmere jumpers - all from ebay/charity shops, and all M&S as their cashmere jumpers are the best I've found. Others have lasted less long.

I don't like jeans/trousers or clumpy shoes/boots.

wide leg jeans, any top for muffin flab.light coloured chunky boots.

Today:

Cropped fake leather slightly wide cut trousers (like a cropped boot cut) from Top Shop.

Black oversized cashmere roll neck A line jumper that has two white stripes on the body of it. From Net a Porter (can’t remember make).

Black DM style boots but with a slight platform / ‘Brothel Creeper’ type sole. From Mango.

Red Gucci camera bag when out and about earlier. Black beanie hat.

Now: M&S pjs.

I was in Agolde black mom type (I think they're called 90s jeans) jeans, Cos black cashmere jumper, trainers (yes, vejas) and a Weekday very long black wool coat.

Now i'm in my pjs with the cashmere jumper .
