early 50's what are you wearing?

I am a M&S leggings fan, with Seasalt tunic and long line cardigan with any type of boots person at the moment.

I'm so boring.

Jeans and a woolly jumper most days. I've got a whole wardrobe of dresses and smarter clothes from pre pandemic when I was in the office most days. Now I'm WFH, I just make sure the top of Nevis smartish

Watching this thread with interest as I think a make over is due. I think I need to revamp the wardrobe as I'll never need all that work stuff again - I think WFH is here to stay for me

Normal ‘uniform’ is A line skirt cashmere jumper and flat knee highs. Dressing up I have several knee length 3/4 sleeved boat necked dresses I wear with healed boots. I suspect I have @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie’s coat and it’s a stunner!

Today:

Cropped fake leather slightly wide cut trousers (like a cropped boot cut) from Top Shop.

Black oversized cashmere roll neck A line jumper that has two white stripes on the body of it. From Net a Porter (can’t remember make).

Black DM style boots but with a slight platform / ‘Brothel Creeper’ type sole. From Mango.

Red Gucci camera bag when out and about earlier. Black beanie hat.

Now: M&S pjs.

Sounds great - some inspirational style here. Have just spent 20 mins googling Gucci red camera bags ! They look divine!

I'm 50 and wear what I've always worn, clothes that make me feel (and look!) good.

I shop in whatever shop catches my eye and certainly wouldn't head to fat face, white stuff, toast etc just because that's apparently where I get my 'uniform' from now I'm older!

Today's outfit is short denim shorts from H&M with black opaque tights, chelsea boots and a vintage sweatshirt I've 'borrowed' from ds.
I feel comfy and feel like 'me' so 100% a good choice!

I dont understand how you don't understand the question . Its the style and beauty board. The OP has asked what everyone is wearing because there are people on here who are interested in fashion and clothes - maybe looking for a bit of inspiration, maybe stuck in a style rut and looking for ideas, maybe just interested in other people's choices. It's just a bit of fun, not rocket science!

Yes for some of us it’s just nice to chat about clothes. I’m feeling a bit boring/stuck in a jeans and jumper rut, and threads like this give me ideas, sometimes mention brands I hadn’t heard of to explore, or just new ways I could put together things I already have.

My confusion was the inclusion of age? What's the relevance?
Shouldn't it just be 'what's everyone wearing? Why does anyone's age matter?

Today I’m wearing dds jeans walking boots and inside out fleece as I’m filling and painting the outside windows.

Today - Faux leather leggings, band tee (the Smiths), biker boots. If I go out I’ll sling on a baker boy cap (it’s cold here), big scarf, and probably my faux fur hoodie jacket that’s a fave just now.

Today I am wearing Cos black jeans, Purple American vintage sweater and old Aubin and Wills long sleeved top. (I loved Aubin and Wills - if anyone know where I can buy equivalent long sleeved, long bodied, fitted, scoop neck tops, please post! ).

Shortly to change into Lululemon leggings and bra top to go and do a yoga workshop. Will wear lululemon puffer coat probably too with Vans slip on shoes for ease.

I tried it on in the shop twice, ordered it, returned it, went back but they were out of stock and reordered!
I’m now going to wear it every day for ever!

Jeggings and a Seasalt tunic, and moccasins around the house. Trainers if I’m going out.

At this time of the year it’s chunky ankle boots or knee length boots, skinny jeans and some sort of sweater or striped top. Work wear tends to be midi dresses with a bold pattern and seventies style boots for my non meeting days, and plain knee length shift dresses, opaque tights and flat pumps or ankle boots with a bit of a heel for meeting days.

Stripy knit dress in varying shades of brown, black tights, brown knee-length boots. My 'golden snitch' pendant watch that I got from Spitalfields market for a tenner.

Cashmere whistles jumper.
M&s corduroy culottes and a whistles camel coat just bought from Brandalley. Plus huge cashmere scarf & black hiker style boots.

Marks and Spencer lounge wear. I have had a knee replacement op recently though so I'm opting for comfy and functional. Normally skinny jeans and a fair isle sweater kind of gal!
