Refreshingly realistic mid size model Phase Eight?

Was just browsing for a swimsuit and came across this model. Thought it was nice to see as plus size models normally seem to be very curvaceous, big breasts, small waists… the ones I’ve seen anyway.

Baukjen used a mid sized model for a while. I bought clothes she modelled on the basis they were more likely to fit and suit me, and they did!

That's great as will give me more of an idea how clothes will look on me rather than model or plus sized models.

Does it say what size she is? She looks like a size 12 to me - rather sad that that probably counts as plus size! Flat stomach, no fat round her face, probably within the healthy BMI range.

That's why I like Monki. They use a range of sized models.

She’s a 14. I think the term is mid size these days. Tall people are quite deceptive.

Excellent! Much more useful to know what it might look like on me. I'm sure we're meant to 'aspire' to be model-size, but at 40 I am well aware and completely fine with not being, and just want to see clothes on someone that looks a bit more like me.

Trust me I am this sized woman with a C section overhang- but no way on god's earth would I wear a see through pair of pants like that.

She looks brilliant and great to see and more importantly she's really talented and absolutely hilarious on instagram/tiktok

@helenabonhamfarter that is your choice and your own self image reflecting on that ad it seems. No reason at al why JL should not use this as a message of body positivity .

I just hate it when they put models with a bit of squidge on them wearing pants that look blatantly too small. JD also have realistically sized models for their plus size clothes.

My mum s catalogue has a lot of realistic sized models I noticed the other day. I think it was called Lands End. It is Good to see

The John Lewis model looks fine imo but the pants look a size too small for her. It said 100+ people are looking at this right now .. probably MNetters
