SOTD. Never really loved this and put it to one side. Tried it again last night (I've had it about a decade!) and I'm obsessed
It sort of mixes all my loves of clean, citrus and a little gourmand

Just been for my boxing day yomp...

Only 50 minutes but at a good pace

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day yesterday, and that the rest of the festive season is filled with love, celebration and joy for you all.

It was an amazing day here - I also feel very spoilt and content - but very tiring, so today has been quite restful. Boxing day is also my mum's birthday, so we have been celebrating that. We've got enough Christmassy food for weeks, so lots of eating and telly watching will be going on. I love the peace and quiet of this Twixtmas week, such a change of pace from the rest of the year. Happy Christmas to you all, again! 🎄🎀

Sotd a cheapie wild fig and grape cologne from mil for Christmas. It's really good, creamy figgy coconutty

Any fave fig perfumes? I like philosykos but I want something with more staying power

Premier figuier by l’Artisan Parfumeur is lovely and creamy/ coconutty but £££. You can get 10ml samples for £30.

I'm surprised at the amount of 4160Tuesday devotees here. I hadn't heard of them, so googled. I did find a Canadian stockist, but would have to order online. Not sure if I would like to do that for a fragrance.

i'm wearing Elizabeth Arden White Tea Wild Rose, and it is a delightful fresh but a little floral daytime scent. I've always liked the Green Tea and White Tea lines by EA, so asked DH for this one, and it's a hit.

SOTD Diptyque Geranium Odorata. @mdinbc I am not a fan of 4160 at all, so I think they are definitely a try before you buy rather than buy blind.

But I was posting elsewhere and it reminded me of how lovely and kind this group is.

Thanks all. I forgot! I'm also wearing PP by the fireside (or whatever it's called) and it makes me think of you lot every time.

My sense of smell post covid has been altered (six months on) and some wintery scents aren't quite working as they used to. My much adored Anima Dulcis (which I've never been able to justify a FB of) now is dominated by incense in a way it never used to be.

My Christmas present was First by Van Cleef and Arpels EDP. It's getting really hard to get hold of. DH had to order it from the Netherlands and I got an unused tester bottle. Like hen's teeth online in the Uk, although the EDT is widely available.

I've tried and loved hundreds of perfumes but somehow this one ticks all the boxes for me and is one I'd never part with. It's very much a 70s aldehydic floral but it just seems to bloom the longer you wear it. It was jean Claude Ellena's first fragrance and the first from Van Cleef and Arpels too. Any other fans out there?

@MissBattleaxe First was one of my first proper perfumes, in my late teens (now 40s) and I associate it with a particularly unpleasant ex boyfriend!

SOTD yesterday was Aramis JHL - a wonderfully festive (and not too heavy) orange, clove and incense mix - because to me it's still Christmas, and I want to wear my Christmassy smells as much as possible. 🎄🎁🎅🎀

I have a cold and cough coming (again); temperature and chills yesterday, and my body aches all over. Very unhappy as there is so much delicious Christmassy food in the house and I don't feel like eating it. 😭

SOTD is Obsession - trying to get as many wears in while it's still Christmas! 🎄🎀

There are no pcr tests available, and I feel dreadful. Have only managed some scrambled eggs on toast and a mince pie with clementine tea (really, really delicious) all day. I started off the Christmas season with a chest infection and it looks like I've now come down with something else. Boo!

On the plus side, I have a an excuse to stay on the sofa all day and binge watch Christmassy films and TV! 📺👀🎄
