Happy birthday for Friday @Judystilldreamsofhorses 💐

Sotd a perfume called Joe smooth by Abbey perfumery. Rather nice jasmine, coffee and vanilla. Reminiscent of black opium without the yucky almond note.

SOTD is Amber Absolute.

Had my first scrubber last night - Floral Street Black Lotus. It was ok at first, but after an hour or so I suddenly couldn’t bear it and had to have a shower. I’m still a bit of a wimp at this perfume thing so retreated to a place of safety by dousing myself in JM Peony & Blush Suede afterwards.

Today was MMM Under the Lemon Trees. Nice enough but not right for this time of year and didn’t last on me. I’m finding that none of the MMMs have much longevity, except Fireplace. Definitely getting a full bottle of that.

I've not liked any floral street scents I've tried tbh

SOTD is La Vie Est Belle. It's not really my usual style at all, sweet and gourmand, but I love it. I wanted something comforting today and the caramel notes in the drydown did the job. It's longevity is amazing. I got complimented on it today as well, which was nice.

I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who isn't keen on By the Fireplace, it doesn't suit my skin at all. I wish it did as I love the concept. None of the Replica range that I've tried seem to be my thing, unfortunately.

By the Fireplace, whispers in the Library, lazy Sunday day morning. That's about it.

Under the lemon trees is nice too, but coffee break really disappointed me. Its a weird milky lavender to my nose 🤷‍♀️

Actually, while I love it, my mum smelled By the Fireplace on me and didn't like it at all, so you're not alone @DramaAlpaca.

Sotd Joe Smooth by Abbey perfumery based on Sheffield set up in 2020.

Jasmine, coffee and vanilla. I prefer this to black opium. It doesn't have the nasty almond of the YSL.

Sotd Estee lauder modern muse nuit for taking mum to a hospital appointment then going into town...

I’ve fallen in love with Gallivant Tel Aviv. To me its bright and citrusy, then light florals with a beautifully warm base. It reminds me a evenings out on the villa holidays I used to go on with a group of friends, before we all had kids - those lovely warm nights in summer dresses, eating and drinking outside and laughing all night long. It’s gorgeous.

I’ve already ordered a full bottle. They give you the price of the discovery set off the full bottle price, so it would have been rude not to!

I had Idylle by Guerlain on for a while but it doesn't last long (such a shame as it's a very pretty scent) so I had a good spray with this lovely Chanel instead. I'll still be able to smell this one tomorrow morning.

Ooh, I've just ordered a bottle of 19 Poudre, a blind buy but I think it'll be right up my street.

@CorneliaStreet great to meet another fan of Gallivant Tel Aviv. I feel exactly the same about it. I think it's my favourite Gallivant along with Bukhara.
SOTD Chantilly at the moment. I'll probably put something else on by lunchtime. This is the beauty of working from home. You can have your whole collection with you and you don't need to worry about over spraying.
