and thought I'd mention it here in case people weren't aware of it and found it interesting .

@isthismylifenow yes to some Chanels being only available in certain outlets. I can find the well known ones fairly locally but for some, Les Exclusifs for example, I'd have a two hour trip to Dublin to find them. Dior is similar, I think Boots have a few and my nearest department store has a decent range. There's also a perfume store not too far away which stocks it. I can't find Guerlain anywhere near me unfortunately, so thank goodness for online shopping!

SOTD is YSL Mon Paris which I'm enjoying.

SOTD Diptyque Eau Duelle - cosy for a snowy day. Hope everyone has come through the storm okay.

SOTD is Jungle Elephant, for a day spent reading and drinking tea under a blanket.

Was pretty wild here earlier, but it's mostly quiet now and we are all OK. Hope everyone is safe and warm, too.

It's very interesting ,especially to someone like me who is new to the perfume world .
Apparently today's scents are less pyramid shaped in their combination of elements and have a more bungalow presentation where leading ladies are replaced by the chorus.

Though it's entirely possible I've got that wrong!

I'm currently suffering pretty bad insomnia so feeling very fed up
Even sominex isn't working :(
I'm going to try and go for a walk later if it stops raining long enough and do a bit of yoga

That sounds awful @Opal8, lack of sleep is absolutely horrendous. I really struggle when I've had a rough night and little sleep, so you have my sympathy. Have you called your gp, they might be able to help, especially if otc drugs aren't helping. Hope you have a restful night tonight.

I hope today will be better Opal8. I use Insight Timer quite a bit, they have some sleep stories on there. They have some that they just read some articles from Wikipedia, and they say it bores you to sleep. It does work, so perhaps that might be worth a try.

I am also very melancholic, I am suffering badly with empty nest syndrome, so my SOTD is Eau de Ressourcante. It is calming and soothing to me.

I've got a 10ml from Sheffield based Abbey perfumery on the way, a 50ml secret special from 4160tuesdays and 5 x samples from feel unique 😊

I'm so tired I think I'm sleep-shopping 🤣

@Opal have you tried Melatonin tablets?
You can get them on prescription. They're a natural hormone and non addictive. I also swear by This Works pillow spray.

No empty nest here - yet - but I'm dreading it tbh. Ds2 will really struggle once ds1 leaves ☹️

And also sorry to hear the weather is still crappy.

I over exerted myself a bit yesterday attempting a bit of a enthusiastic workout ( I am not sure this was the best way to try to keep busy), so SOTD is Green Tea. As I recalled the EA assistant telling me it is good to spray onto sore muscles. Not sure if it's worked as I'm still a bit sore, but at least I smell nice whilst a bit achy.

I just never anticipated this level of emotion for my dd leaving. I mean I knew it would be emotional, I just didn't think I'd feel, well... this empty 😒. The clue is in the name there though I suppose.

SOTD MMM By the Fireplace. I needed something comforting as our electricity has been off since the storm on Friday. Finally reconnected this afternoon, thank god.

Love By the Fireplace, can’t decide if this or Lazy Sunday Morning is my favourite of the Replicas so far.

I broke and ordered the Gallivant sample set, so will have all those to try soon.
