Today I'm wearing L'occitane Burst of Vitality Rose fragranced water for a light pick me up.

Sotd is Lancome Idole. I bought it as it has a prominent rose note and I love rose but its very...soapy?

@MrsBerthaRochester it is quite soapy, yes now you mention it. I do like it though. Have you tried Paul Smith Rose? An affordable classic.

I love Paul Smith Rose and always use it in summer. I was looking for a deeper rose? I have Agent provocateur which I love but its very strong for day use.

Now I don’t get that. It’s mildly pleasant in a soapy way but iconic?

SOTD 4160 Tues - Eau My Soul, not sure about it, boozy notes aren't my thing.

Also don't get Chanel 5, find it nice enough but doesn't blow me away. Don't get cat pee, although I'm not sure what cat pee smells like..

ive never tried No5 i guess i always associated with highly sophisticated women of which i am definitely not one heh

SOTD Chanel 19. Funnily enough I have a bit of a hankering for No 5. I had a bottle from an aunt for my 21st and it was far too grown up for me, but now in my 40s I feel like I want to revisit it.

SOTD is Ambre Sultan.

I have smelled No5 many times, and a relative of mine used to wear it frequently on special occasions, but embarrassingly I can recall only very little about it. I seem to have the impression it was quite floral and sandalwood-y? I do know the various concentrations smell different to each other. Will have to investigate next time I'm near a dept store.
