I need talking out of getting this dress

I've seen pictures of this dress popping up everywhere (probably because I clicked on it) and now it's reduced! I like the style, the colour palette and the length. I think I like the pattern. I'm not sold on the sleeves. Do you like it? I shouldn't get it, should I? I don't exactly need any dresses and I think I am falling prey to social media marketing algorithms.

It's lovely! Get it and try it on at least, stock is running low I hate when I hesitate and something sells out

Do you have a good figure? Because that kind of dress might look frumpy if you have a few extra pounds on you.

I hate clothes that have that pulled in elastic thing that's around the top. Looks cheap.

Yeah - I don't like the shirring or the sleeves and I think it's massively overpriced even at the current ask, but to be fair if I wore that I'd look like a sofa Grin

I'm a size 10-12 with a smallish bust and reasonable legs but not much of a waist. The latter might be a problem... Oh no, the low stock is pushing me towards clicking checkout...

Good point and I'm actually not sure. It's not really a work dress. I guess I'd wear it to the pub or out with friends (not that either of those activities happen often).

Well this thread has stopped me buying it for 45 minutes at least :). I agree that given the fabric it seems overpriced. When I first saw it I liked it but saw the £89 price tag and couldn't believe it for an Oasis dress. I used to like Oasis when they had shops but I really wish they would have reviews on their site as it makes me nervous about buying anything. Maybe it will get reduced further...?
I think it's lovely. I am thinking of buying it now 😁 Go on, treat yourself.

Hah! I agree with all the posters who say the fabric resembles curtain fabric, but I actually liked their curtain outfits and I like that kind of curtain!

Well - where would you wear it - and do you already have clothes that more than covers you for that? If not, then work out how often would you wear it a year, and for how many years? Divide the price per wear and that might be your justification right there.

On the downsides, I do think it's overpriced for the material, will likely look cheaper than it is in real life, and will be a bit sweaty if it isn't a cool day..

Ugh. The sleeves are horrible. The pattern and colour are lovely but the sleeves would upset me and mean the dress would go unworn.
The sleeves are fine. The length of the dress is awful. It's neither one thing nor the other.
