I'm getting married next year - it will be the second time, after a disastrous marriage in my mid to late twenties. We divorced and my now fiance and I got together quite quickly, and also had a baby relatively quickly! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I don't want a white ans weddingy dress 🙈

I have already considered this one - is it too guesty?

@CassandrasCastle

It does make me want to twirl. There's also this Vampire's Wife one
This one! This one! They are SO flattering! They do it in gold as well I think. Put something fab in your hair and you’ll be the belle of the ball!

@Panacotta I want to stick with green!! BUT those headdresses you posted are amazing, thanks so much!
Have tried to attach a pic - it might be just a bit mad?? I'm not sure I could carry it off...

I need to be told if I'd just look a bit of a twat...I think maybe wear the headpiece to the 'party in the field' part, rather than the ceremony..? (2 separate occasions.)

I may be a bit late to the party here, but I bought this recently and it’s beautiful, especially for the price. kitristudio.com/products/alyssa-green-sequin-wrap-dress?variant=13477275500595

Or for floral here are a few nice ones, price ranges from about £8 to £50, again on etsy.

I love all the green dresses. It is your wedding OP. Wear whatever you want!

ItsATIARA · 09/12/2021 08:06

I love the first headpiece from Etsy, and the floral crowns. The fascinators look a bit too guesty - the OP wants something to mark her out as The Bride. Although a socking great bouquet would help with that...in my mind it has trailing ivy.

ESGdance · 09/12/2021 08:11

There are loads of stunning OTT peacock feather headdresses around and the blue/green colours would look great with the dress but not sure with a wild flower daisy bouquet? Maybe need to coordinate both?

Noodleted · 09/12/2021 08:12

What kind of wedding are you having?

I think all the dresses you've posted are lovely (and I love the green!) but you might want to choose how fancy you go based on the vibe e.g. registry + pub the first is fine! Big fancy house, maybe you need something a bit more sparkly.

I'd just wear what you like best though really. I got married in red, as did one of my friends and both dresses I'm sure could be a bit wedding guesty but that's because any nice coloured dress could be worn by a wedding guest! We both love our dresses and still wear them, which is so nice.

Noodleted · 09/12/2021 08:21

Just seen you're after a headpiece! Etsy has loads of nice gold floral ones e.g. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/750754909/the-sofia-leaf-flower-crown-tiara-diadem?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-accessories-other&utm_custom1=k_CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76pzCd7GYGVam_7GU1_KTBUcXnRqA3SuguO8O3-fj74jPHGtOdn3orMBoCYDYQAvD_BwE_k&utm_content=go_12581958376_118010743805_507934793213_aud-1183050945776:pla-295577704042_m__750754909engb_117021774&utm_custom2=12581958376&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76pzCd7GYGVam_7GU1_KTBUcXnRqA3SuguO8O3-fj74jPHGtOdn3orMBoCYDYQAvD_BwE

When I was getting married I also had a look at bridal shops suppliers as they tend to work with some lovely brands. There were a few I found which had similar stuff to what you're looking for I think but can't for the life of me find them but might be worth checking out a few bridal shops online for accessories.

www.temperleylondon.com/gb/lucille-v-neck-dress-frost-blue.html …. Oh no you’ve sent me down the Temperley rabbit hole …. Love this one

CassandrasCastle · 09/12/2021 22:07

Yes, Etsy has some amazing headpieces! I've got quite into the 'celestial crown' look 🙊

CassandrasCastle · 09/12/2021 22:08

@ESGdance that one IS beautiful! (Haven't liked any of the other Temperley ones...luckily really, as I don't have 2k spare for just a dress.)

When I got married I wasn’t keen on white or ivory (I’m very very pale). I also wanted simple. One lovely lady in a local wedding shop pointed out that all bridesmaid dresses can be made up in any colour and it was my intention to get a cream shade until I tried one on in burgundy. And I loved it so I picked it colour and all.

You could try on some bridesmaid dresses to get the shape and movement you want and get it made in the shade of Green you like best. My dress was £79 (15 years ago) versus the £800+ of the wedding dresses I had look at.

I love that last gold one, so pretty. Almost makes me want to get married again.
Ddot · 13/12/2021 03:36

I like the first dress it looks lovely and is longer on you than the model. Head dress I like the crazy one but can see you may have to have balls to wear. The celestial ones are gorgeous, add some stars to the bouquet.

FanciedChange · 13/12/2021 15:36

Love the colour choice! What about something similar to the dress Keira Knightly wore in Atonement?

Sickoffamilydrama · 13/12/2021 21:45

I can't remember how now but I made my own head dress using a couple of combs some fake Ivy and little roses on wire then inter twinned it with real flowers to match my bouquet.

ReluctantEarlyRiser · 14/12/2021 16:03

You look gorgeous in the first dress. Once you add accessories (some kind of head thing, strappy shoes, bouquet) you'll look bridal.

Have you looked at needle and thread or frock and frill. Not much green at first glance but some lovely dresses.
