Just tried on some old dresses I had lying around, and glad I did, because realised nothing fits me!

So what are you wearing to your works Xmas parties? Looking for inspiration...

Black wide leg trousers, top and boots here, we are pretty casual. I suspect if the invitations said "dress to impress" a lot of people wouldn't go.

Actually that's not quite true but there would probably be a bit of muttering and most would ignore it.

I've got this dress from Oliver bonas, I like the colours.

I’m not going to my work Christmas party but I’ve got a few things coming up and am following this thread with an eagle eye

And there was another one that was gorgeous but I don’t have the legs for it, tights would be doing the dress a disservice but for those who would strut about in it - what a dazzling statement! Can’t bloody remember whose it was now, think it was the French connection sequinned dress….

Oh my mistake, it was @HelplessAndLost with the John Lewis dress! I love it

@Newchallenge I've never heard of this website but love that jumpsuit! Can I ask how long it is? I'm 5' 8" and would want it really long (to the floor)?

@StiltonIsLife I did, it's a lovely colour and thick fabric however the fit just wasn't right on me. It suggests sizing up which I did but it still felt small around the hips and the slit went right up to to where it shouldn't

I got this in October for a party and am wearing it for my work Xmas party. It is completely ott but I really don’t care after the drudgery of the last 2 (or actually 7!) years!!

Well it’s definitely a bold choice but I’m with you @PollyIndia - this year I’m leaning towards something a bit more special than my usual black dress choices!

I bought this crepe jersey jumpsuit from Roman originals (and I’m. It even going on a cruise!), and it’s the single most flattering and comfortable thing I own. It’s very forgiving, hides a multitude of sins and can easily be dressed up or down - and also easy to take on and off!

@MrsJBaptiste I am 5"7 so I think it would be fine on you. Obviously it's inexpensive fabric, but stretchy and comfortable.
Definitely missing pockets though. I'd have paid more if it had pockets!
