Just tried on some old dresses I had lying around, and glad I did, because realised nothing fits me!

So what are you wearing to your works Xmas parties? Looking for inspiration...

I'm going to be overdressed but I am going to wear my new party dress, that was a complete bargain from White Stuff, it's navy and velvet and gorgeous!

Not a work party, but still a Xmas one, and I’ve got and M&S midi dress in a silky material. Pinky abstract print and elasticated waist! 3/4 sleeves too which is good as my wrists are not the only thin bit of me

now!

@HelplessAndLost that dress is great. I know what you mean about colleagues who don't dress up. I worked with a team who hated the big works christmas party and made anyone who did want to get dressed up feel very awkward.

@ambereeree I hate that too! I am in charge this year and have included “dress to impress” on the invite so hopefully the majority will make the effort!

I love hearing about what everyone else is wearing. I'm really struggling to find anything I like online and not sure I'll have time to get to the shops before the do which is next week 😱

@blairresignationjam that's lovely, similar to what I am looking for but maybe more of a midi than a mini! What's the length like on to you as we're the same height? Not sure why I'm asking tbf as they haven't got my size anyway!

I'm wearing an emerald green sequin dress. It's actually a girls night but we go full glam. Can't wait!
@Littleguggi the dress you are looking at comes in different lengths. The manufacturer has an online store, it has Jack in the name. I'm hunting for it.

I'm now a size 16 so don't feel happy in a dress... our directorate Christmas party is at a posh hotel with over 100 people.
Many women wear cocktail dresses, long dresses or bodycon.
But often the (male) surgeons who turn up will even wear jeans and jumpers!!

So I'm wearing a sparkly black top with 3/4 sleeves & a deep V neck I got from Wallis originally with a pair of slim fit black ankle grazer trousers from M&S.
My jewellery is gold from Orelia, my bag is gold & black from Accessorize.
My high heeled sandals are cream & gold studded from River Island.

Altogether the outfit looks smart & glam without showing off any flesh so I'm happy.

Also I know our deputy clinical leader is wearing black trousers too so I won't be the only woman in trousers.

Slippers, jeans and a sparkly top. As we've just been notified it is via zoom again.

I've got one from last year in a similar style so I'm hoping this will suit me. Feels a bit more partyish with the gold. I'll be wearing black tights though as I hate having my bare legs out, especially in winter. Really not sure what I'll wear on my feet.

My work (GP surgery) is having a BBQ in the garden, so probably a big hoodie, jeans and warm boots!

Thanks to the lovely style and beauty experts, I’m wearing a green velvet dress that isn’t too long! Sexy new tights, my old favourite Irregular Choice shoes, I may even dig out my faux fur jacket. I will probably be ridiculously overdressed but I don’t care!
