Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

Gosh sold out already!! Thank you anyway, got terrible signal on a train so didn't manage to get one.

I think that probably what happens when a retailer is putting together a multi-brand advent calendar, is that they contact brands and ask them what they can supply in small/sample sizes (and probably ask for them either for free or heavily discounted).

So the products in the calendars will depend on which brands are prepared to do a deal, and which products they want to supply.

I'm sure the retailer tries to have a balanced range of items in the calendar, but I doubt they get a completely free choice of what goes into them.

Hi all, just checking in. So far, I've ordered F&M as my main AC.

I also bought rituals (not as an ac, just to try the range), and space nk with the discount code as I thought it was a great deal with £30 off (planning to open and gift some of the items rather than use as an ac).

Now trying not to order anything else as I really don't need anymore. I should probably avoid this thread - but not managing it so far!

With the discussions on how we store our stashes, I decided to have a look through mine. I have an insane number of serums. Given CB has 7 serums, I've decided I'm definitely passing on that.

I've decided I'm going for the More Glow and More Self Care boxes when they come out. I will also buy a couple of bits of make up to bring it up to 24 items as, while I don't need make up, particularly as we are all still masked up at work, and will be for the foreseeable, I do like a few bits in my calendar. I'm thinking of a lipstick and a cream eye shadow or eye stick (I use them as eyeliners).

If you’re looking for some eye shadow sticks I can highly recommend the Nudestix ones (available on Cult Beauty so you can get them with your boxes ). You can use them as eyeshadow or a smudgy liner.

The Fenwick food calendar looked fab, but can't justify it.

It was probably me re the Marzipan (Niederegger) calendar; I buy one for my DH every year. He loves them ... last year it added the extra week after Christmas as well, so he was delighted!

I'm so flippin cross with ASOS

Didn't occur to me to check here for link but instead had website and app open and constantly checking under "beauty box " and bugger all came up! So I've missed out, so pissed off as really wanted it.

So gutted!

I wasn't sure where the ASOS box would be on the website so I just kept searching 'Looking good feel better' which is what the box was called snd it popped up about 17.40!

@supadupapupascupa, in the past Harrods hasn’t sold particularly fast. But they’ve really upped their game this year, so difficult to tell what will happen. At least they have given a firm date (and price!) on their own website, so we know when to expect it.

I'm fairly sure that space nk was restocked last year, so I think you'll get another chance to buy one. Also the website says 'currently unavailable', which makes me think that they're planning a restock.

It's a fab calendar! But very similar to last year which I bought. Highly recommend!!
