Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

The More Glow defo looked best. I also do like having treats I'd never buy, which is why I went for the More Indulgence as well. Deliberately trying to forget what is in them, so I can have surprises for Advent!

My boots package arrived this morning with the Estée Lauder set and free lipstick. I’m going to shut myself away and open it later in peace. DH and DS have Covid and I’ve now got the dreaded cough, so I’m going to cheer myself up with pretty things while waiting for my PCR.

@QueefofSheena - is that the 8 hour one? I ordered that too. Didn't get a free lipstick though.

It's really good value - the 8 hour moisturiser is that price anyway so all the rest of it is effectively free. I was surprised to get the clutch bag. I thought that was just for illustrative purposes on the packaging. Can't see me using it too much but it's pretty good quality.

Just got an email to say mine is shipped. Then got a second email to say one of the free samples hasn't shipped yet. Looks like they will send that separately

I went for the self care one for the same reason as you. There are some truly bizarre things in it that I will enjoy trying out but would never buy.

Are you putting yours in an old calendar or just pulling them out lucky dip style for advent?

OchonAgusOchonOh no, it’s the one that’s £69 with a £50ish spend. The lipstick deal was stacked with it. I only did it as I need perfume for a gift. Ended up with 3000 points too.

That was a good one too. I got 1000 bonus points too. The points system in Boots is far and away the best of any company. They really build up quickly.

Well my CB has arrived! No idea how or when but just gone to let the dogs out and it was on the doorstep...very early for a Hermes delivery and it definitely wasn't there last night! No email/text so it's a good job I let the dogs out and saw it.

That's great news. I keep checking the porch but nothing so far.

Having reviewed the M&S contents again controversially I don't think I'm going to get it 😱.. there's too many 'creams' for me - both hand and face which I think will stress me out trying to get through (major first world problem!) plus I don't need mascara and eyeliner now I accidentally bought CB.
There are a few bits from the M&S winter collection I want tho - and a lovely pair of boots, so could easily make the required spend..
Ps I just bought two pairs of the wool snag tights to wear under joggers

Also any TK Max fans - I went in today and it was packed to the rafters with skincare - some really good stuff. Ren, This Works, Pai etc and also Christian Louboutin nail varnish - which I would not expect to see there. Not to mention the Celine and Chloe handbags

Hmmm... I need bras and waiting for the M&S calendar, but I'm not feeling tempted by the products this year, and I really don't need them. I do however want the beauty tin 😂

When is the m and s calendar out and what do we need to do to get it? Will it Sep out very quickly or will I have time to ponder?!

I think it's out around 28th October and it's £40 with a £30 spend in M&S. I think in previous years it's sold out online quite quickly, but they usually have loads in stores for weeks afterwards.

Yeah. I'm the same with last year's stuff.

I ordered a few bits of make-up to bring it up to 25 as, even though I'm not really wearing any at the moment due to mask wearing still being compulsory here, I like to get a bit of make-up in a calendar.
