Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

I've scrolled through so sorry if I missed it but did anyone get the Bobbi Brown AC? It was meant to be released on 5th Oct but either it's never appeared or sold out pretty quickly. Looked great

Ah yes I got an email too, and the suggestion is that they will email when it lands... better keep eye on non-work email all morning then :)

Tellmewhenthe I didn't get an email from Liberty either, which I was a bit miffed about because I'd completed a survey about it for them a while ago when they were mulling over the idea.

I only managed to sign up because someone on here posted a link. If I spot any signs of them opening up for new subscribers, I will post on here for you!

@tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz I think it’s because with look fantastic their beauty has been a bit gimmicky and customer service not great. It’s a great shame that Neals Yard are with them now as not sure they share the same vision/ values….

Feel Unique is with The Hut Group though and I've found them good. Look Fantastic were atrocious last year when I had a broken item. It took me two months and copious complaining to get a partial refund!

Joining the party late but just got an email from CB about tomorrow's drop! Im determined to snap one up this year and wonder if I can stretch to a couple more especially if there are some good deals to be had......

2 years ago I got BirchBox, Elle, Debenhams and have been using all the bits up for ages. This year Im after CB and 1 or 2 others : Selfridges, Asos, H&B and maybe JL but need to decide between them. Unlikely to get discount on any of them I guess unless I wait for Black Friday.

Won't be considering LF after all the hassles you guys had last year.

Yep I'm in the office too and don't normally get notifications for emails on my phone but I've changed my settings so that when I get an email it pops up on my Home Screen, I'll have my phone on silent but hopefully if I pop it by my laptop I'll see it!

I’ve just ordered the Neals Yard winter beauty box with an order. It has some really nice things in it. I ordered the aromatherapy rituals night time kit which was already discounted and the beauty sleep shower oil is just gorgeous. I’m obsessed with sleep and night time rituals (my treat after work) and their beauty sleep stuff is the best I’ve tried so far. Only had to spend a fiver more then to qualify for the beauty box. Annoyingly though it seems that Neals Yard have been taken over by the Hut Group too - they are taking over the bloody beauty world! Disappointed in NYR for selling out…

Re the Liberty beauty drop I would love to pretend I am a valued and esteemed customer but I clicked on link on here Grin - I had registered for it but didn’t hang about when I saw the link!

The Neal's Yard one looks brilliant. I would have loved to get it as I love their stuff. Unfortunately it's another one that is no longer shipping to the EU so no joy.

It's rather odd though. They say in one FAQ that they are not shipping to the EU but in another they say "For any products shipping from the UK to addresses in the EU, tax and duties will be settled on your behalf with our courier, so there is no additional cost to you" and yet another "all returns from European countries will go back to our distribution centre located within the EU."

They've probably pulled in some of The Hut's generic FAQs when they redid the website as when you go to check out, the only country offered is UK.

You might find that there isn't much left by Black Friday as they are starting to sell out - JL, space nk and NAP are all currently out of stock online. I think that CB and Harrods will be tomorrow too.

@Housewife2010, Feelunique was until recently private equity owned, it is now owned by Sephora. I actually think this is a good thing, given the lack of Sephora in the U.K.

Harrods listing has been updated to include a CT palette; definitely now my first choice.

It looks like I have grown allergic to Origins products, unfortunately. Is there an advent calendar that has many different brands of face reams? I will have to go through my stash to see what to try next.

I remembered that I liked REN cream from one advent calendar couple of years ago. LF has REN cream in it and buying full pot of that cream would be £49. And if I would be allergic to it... maybe I need to get LF calendar now.

Eek! I want Cult Beauty but have appointments this morning. Worried about missing it and am wondering whether I should buy Harrods now instead. Need to get a grip!
