@RedHot22 yeah I don't think they are really a surf brand anymore. More that outdoorsy look, lots of their kids clothes feature snowboarding, cycling etc. I'm talking the very early 90's when I first remember seeing them on the high street.

Hi I've been lurking on this thread and would love to join in if you'll have me. I'm finding all your outfits and support for each other very inspiring. I've been in a real rut because basically I haven't been going anywhere now I'm working from home - except out to walk the dog or to nip to the shops. But I'm tired of only wearing joggers and fleeces!

This is me nipping to the shops in my Craghoppers coat, Clarks biker boots, Robell trousers (I think I should have rolled them up but hate cold ankles) and Desigual handbag, all from Vinted. I'll post some indoor outfits over the next few days even if no one is going to see them except you me, DH and the dog - as I feel like caring a bit more about fashion just for fun and to improve my mental health.

@OublietteBravo I like your outfit a lot but think it might be even better with a black oversized jumper maybe? But I think you look great!

@NotJustACigar welcome! You sound like me - I mostly wear dog walking gear, riding gear or ahem "lounge wear" but this thread has really encouraged me to up my game and when I do get dressed take a bit of enjoyment in it.

Some wonderful and stylish people on here who have given me loads of inspiration.

@NotJustACigar I hardly ever leave the house even before Covid. And I decided a few years ago that I needed to take more time for myself as I care 24/7 for my very sick daughter. No one sees me apart from DD and DH who never notices such stuff. But it's done my MH no end of good to get out of leggings and long tops ( which are fine but not 365 days a year) . I think it may surprise how much better you feel x

I love this thread for inspiration too.

I don’t get to dress up for work and obviously haven’t been going out much because of Covid, I seem to have lost my mojo. You have all inspired me to buy some new things and more importantly, wear what I already have!

Looking great @Shannith I wish I had a decent charity shop nearby.

Old navy skinnies (my only jeans and very unflattering!) and grey jumper today. I've been avoiding dresses since last week when I caught side of a side/rear view in the mirror. So fed up of being obese and looking pregnant with a large bum rather than fat. Nobody would comment if I just looked overweight but I have to field comments (or looks! even worse somehow because I can't deny it or make a joke) every time I go out.

First step is to lose the ten pounds to bring me down to the weight where overweight becomes obese.

I know what you mean @OublietteBravo I think you look nice but sometimes for some reason an outfit just doesn't feel right.

I had another look at my invite for the work event and realised it's not cocktail dress but smart casual so think I'm going with this jumpsuit which will save me the stress of finding something by Friday as really struggling.

Did wonder about this dress but it's not quite working.

Boots Solovair dealers boots.The smaller size came and fits perfectly. Comfy straight away so glad I spent more and went for these not the DM Chelsea boots.
I'm another one who couldn't sleep last night so I'll be in my pyjamas by 7pm.
Long sleeve t shirts @Sooverthemill -I wear M&S hear gen ones through the winter.Size up.So cosy and wash well in a variety of colours.

@JunieSpoony I am so sorry people are shits. I've never understood people who comment on weight. It's just plain rude! One of the reasons I love this thread is everyone is kind and supportive.
@Chrispackhamspoodle those boots! Now I'm wondering if I should try them. Are they really comfortable? I have had about 12 pairs of boots to try and am about to keep the Boden chunky Chelsea ones because they seem to work best but those look even nicer! Do you have a link?

My first outfit attempt - tried it with and without a skirt and I'm not sure...don't like wearing leggings as trousers but the skirt and cardi don't really match in terms of shades of black. Honest feedback requested please!

I prefer it with the skirt @NotJustACigar but that may be the 90s child in me. Don't think it matters about the different blacks, but maybe a white top rather than green?
